One Night Stand

Changes

There was about 2 weeks left of Ash's, Brock's, and Red's summer trip to California. It was a crazy start, but had gone slow as time went on. The only crazy things that had recently happened were: Paul asked out Dawn, Misty received a bunch of baby clothes, and, the craziest thing, A Clemont caught Max and Bonnie doing it...in a bathroom...at a Starbucks...on a Wednesday...at 11:45. Now he has May watching over Max like a hawk, while he continually bleaches out his eyes. 

Besides from all of that, nothing major was going on. Right now Ash, Gary, Paul, Drew, and Red were hanging out. Clemont and Max were gone for obvious reasons, Tracy was out with Daisy, and Cilan was showing Iris how to catch fish like a boss. Brock would be there in a bit, but for now it was just the 5 of them playing pool and stuff at Drew's place.

"Hey Ash, can we talk...in private?" Asked Red.

"Uh, sure." 

The two walked into an empty hallway. 

"So, what's up?" 

"I just want to say...I'm staying here." 

"Oh, like a little longer or-" 

"Permanently." 

"W-what?" 

"Yeah." 

"What do you mean!? How and why?" 

"I mean I'm going to be living here again. I'll be hiring movers, and after spending all this time with the guys and Yellow...I just feel like I want to reconnect with them...and her." 

"Oh...well then, I'm going to miss you dude." 

"Yeah...see you whenever then." 

"Yeah." 

The two rejoined the group and were quickly joined by Brock. 

"I met a girl!" 

"Finally!" 

"Wait...are you making this up?" 

"Or did you pay someone so when we see her it's just a hired chick?" 

"No, it's an actually girl! And I have big news with that." 

"And that is?" 

"I'm transferring here to be with everyone and to be with this girl." 

"Really!?" Everyone said. 

"Yeah." 

"Well this segways into something  I have to say." 

"More news?" 

"Well spit it out." 

"I'm also moving here." 

"Hell yeah!" 

"We got 99.9% of the gang back here." 

"Yes you do." Said Ash. "Good for you Brocko, if you excuse me, I'm going to go home." 

The others were a bit overwhelmed by the news to care, plus being dudes didn't help. They let Ash go home to think. 

As he got into his bed, he thought aloud, with Pikachu by his side.

"Well Pikachu, I don't know whether to feel happy or sad about these new changes." 

The dog just stared at him, then jumped on the bed to sleep. 

"Yeah, better sleep now before anything else happens." Ash uttered as he drifted to sleep.
