One Night Stand

Maybe A Little Awkward

May, Max, and Drew were walking down the street. It had been 1 week since the incident. Everyone agreed to coffee and a movie, so the 3 were walking to the local coffee shop. 

"Strange what happened with Ash and Misty." Said Max, trying to make small talk. 

"I figured they would eventually hook up. Now if they become a couple, Cilan and Clemont owe me, Paul, and Gary 20 bucks each." Drew said. 

"Really." 

"Yep." 

"Only grass head and the guys would bet on our friends." 

"Well June, I remember a few girls placing a bet on us." 

"You just had to bring that up." 

"Yes I did, and it's exactly why me and the guys placed bets on Ash and Misty. Thank you for showing us the way." 

"Hahaha, you're lucky I love you." 

"Love you too June." 

"IT'S-know what, I'm not going to engage." 

"Max, remember all of this when you and Bonnie start dating." 

"HEY!" 

... 

They arrived at the coffee shop. As soon as they stepped in, they were beckoned by everyone who was there. 

"Hey Max." 

"Hey Bonnie." He sat next to her. 

"Awww." 

"Serena!" 

"I know, I won't say anything...now." 

May sat with Dawn, Iris, Yellow, Leaf, Misty, and Serena. 

Drew sat with Paul, Gary, Clemont, Cilan, and Red. 

"Made it before Ashy-boy, impressive." Gary said.

"Especially since you've showed up late every other meetup." Paul added. 

"Those times Max wasn't with us." 

"Please, you're more of a virgin then Clemont and Cilan combined." 

"Hey!" The two shouted. 

They then got into a whole conversation of who's done it the most. Then we had the girls conversation. 

"So, are you and Ash gonna get together?" Asked an eager Dawn. 

"No." 

"What!? But I've shipped that since 4th grade!" It was weird, but Gary and Dawn liked to ship all of them. Then they would argue over whose ships were 'better'. Shockingly not too out of the ordinary for them. 

"It was a drunk mistake, it would have never happened sober." 

"You never know. I mean you didn't try sober." 

"Now I never will." 

"What about partly sober?" 

"No Iris." 

"C'mon Misty, just ask him out." 

"Yeah, I mean back when I thought me and Ash were going to be a thing, I saw how you two both felt for each other. That's how I knew it was going to be you, while I would be a friend." 

"Listen guys, I've been feeling off so let's stop this chat ok." 

"Ok." 

Not 5 seconds later, Ash and Brock came in. 

"What took you two so long?" 

"We went to get Tracy, but he was busy with Daisy." 

"Still can't believe Tracy managed to pull a sensational sister."

"N one can." 

"Hey Ash." 

"H-hey M-Mist. How-uh-it-is-going the good-for you-yes?" 

"Uh, yes it-has-uh-been the good-for me." 

"Let's just go to the movies." 

Yeah this may be just a tad bit awkward for them.

The movie was fine. Whenever Ash and Misty tried talking it sounded just like it had at the coffee shop. Other than that it was fine, except when Bonnie and Max touched hands causing May and Serena to say aw. Misty did act a little weird with the popcorn. Usually Ash and May are the only ones to down 2 large popcorns on their own, but Misty managed to pull off the same feat. For now she would ignore it. Little did she know things were going to get interesting.
