"The night sky sure is beautiful tonight." Says a beautiful Gerudo woman with luscious red lips, long wild spikey bright red hair, emerald green eyes, and wearing the standard desert attire.
The woman is sitting on a chair on her balcony, looking out at the star-filled night sky. Many of the Gerudos who have traveled the lands of Hyrule has stated that the views from the mountains are without comparison. However, in her opinion, there's nowhere in Hyrule that beats the view of the night sky in Gerudo town.
"You're due soon, aren't you." The woman says with a smile as she rubs her pregnant stomach. Suddenly, she feels a kick from her child, and she sits up in her seat. "No need to rush things. You'll be able to gaze upon the night sky with me soon enough, my sweet little desert flower." The woman smiles as she rubs her stomach.
Suddenly, she realizes just how tired she is. It just so happens to be the sweet time of night when it isn't freezing cold like normal but a perfect mix of the blistering cold of the night and the intense heat of the day. It feels nice on her skin and makes her eyelids heavy. Before she can move to go back into her home, sleep takes her, and she slumps down in her chair, a light snore breaking the silence of the night.
This goes on for a minute before a spark of red light briefly flashes next to the woman. Another minute goes by before that same spark appears again but much more powerful this time. It would have woken the sleeping Gerudo if it wasn't completely silent and barely giving off any kind of light. As the bright red spark takes shape, it looks vaguely like a female human. To be a bit more specific, its appearance looks as if energy itself had come to like and is attempting to mimic the rough outline of a humanoid but is barely able to do even that.
The red spark female walks forward before playing her hand on the stomach of the sleeping woman. It rubs its hand on the stomach before lightly pressing its finger on the center of the stomach.
"Nirvana of the Gerudo, I bless your child. May he be better than the one that came before him?" The figure states as Minerva's stomach erupts in a heavenly bright red light for less than a second. Once the light is gone, so is the mysterious figure. There is no evidence left, and not a single Gerudo is the wiser.
"Nirvana. Nirvana, you up here?" Asks another voice as a trap door to the roof opens. Another Gerudo pokes her head up and sees the sleeping Nirvana and sighs. Climbing into the roof, the woman walks over to Nirvana and gently shakes her awake.
"W-what? What's going on?" Nirvana asks in a groggy voice. "Rajeet? What's wrong?" Nirvana asks
"You really should read sleep out here. It might be bad for the baby." Rajeet answers as she helps her friend up. "Let's get you to an actual bed. Come on, killer." Rajeet laughs as Nirvana slowly follows, still tired but supported by Rajeet.
If you're wondering, Nirvana returned to Gerudo town while still pregnant. Usually, when a Gerudo leaves town to fund a voe, they stay with that voe until their child is born, and then some before returning to Gerudo town. However, it isn't unheard of for Gerudos to return while still pregnant. When this happens, another Gerudo, usually a friend or family member stays by their side until the baby is delivered. Rajeet is Nirvana's sister and eagerly accepted the position of making sure her sister has a safe delivery.
Night soon turned to morning, and Nirvana awoke to find her sister making breakfast. "Rajeet, what happened last night?" Nirvana asks
"You fell asleep while watching the stars. You were kinda out of it when I woke you up to bring you inside." Rajeet explains while placing a plate of eggs in front of her sister. "You weren't drinking or anything, were you?" Rajeet asks as Nirvana slams her hand on the table.
"Of course not! I would never put my baby in such danger! I would I ever face him if I did such a thing!" Nirvana shouted as Rajeet put her hands up.
"Ok, Ok, sorry I shouldn't have suspected you of anything. I've seen how protective you are of your child even now, " Rajeet asks apologetically. "But you said him are you referring to your husband? You haven't talked about him ever since you returned to Gerudo Town." Rajeet explains as Nirvana looks away.
"My husband is a good man. That's all anyone needs to know, and that's what my child we know him as." Nirvana explains as her eyes suddenly shoot open in pain, and she grips her stomach as she falls to the floor.
Rajeets shoots up and rushes to her sister's side. Helping her sister to her feet as three words fill the air and fill Rajeet with dread. Those three words are the babies' coming.
Nirvana was rushed to the Gerudo equivalent to a hospital with Rajeet in the. Upon entering the birthing room, Rajeet was stopped at the door by two other Gerudos and was told she needed to wait outside the room. Rajeet wanted to protest but knows it was for the best.
Rajeets sits in the waiting room, biting the nail of her thumb as she hears her sister's screams of pain.
"From the sound of it, Nirvana is giving birth."
"Oh no, she's screaming in pain at the hospital because she stubbed her too" Rajeet doesn't finish her sentence as she looks up and sees the keeper of the Gerudo Lady Urbosa standing before her. "Lady Urbosa, please forgive my outburst. My emotions are high." Rajeet explains, and she quickly kneels before the Gerudo leader.
"Raise your head, Rajeet. Your sister is a dear friend to me. A true sister at arms during her warrior days." Urbosa explains with a smile as Rajeet stands up.
"Yeah, it's still weird to think that Nirvana the Wild Fist will soon be a mother." Rajeet laughs as Urbosa joins in on the laugh. However, both stop laughing when the screams of Nirvana stop and the crying of a child fills the air.
Rajeet runs toward the door, ignoring the guards, and bursts through the door to see her sister on the bed weakly breathing as a nurse holds the crying child, but something is wrong.
The crying of the child doesn't sound right it lacks the feminine tone, and the nurse is looking down at the child in horror. Rajeet walks over to the nurse holding the child.
"Hey, what's wrong with my niece... nephew?" Rajeet says as she looks to see a child, but not an average Gerudo child. Instead of being female, this one is male, just like the previous demon king.
"This happened sooner than expected," Urbosa says as she looks down at the boy.
"My child. Let me hold my child." Nirvana says as she reaches toward her son. The nurse steps back, not knowing what to do about this situation.
"Give her, her child." Urbosa orders as the nurse turns her head.
"But Lady Urbosa-"
"Give her, her child. I won't say it again." Urbosa says with more authority this time as a cold chill goes up the nurse's spine, and she quickly walks toward Nirvana and gives her the baby boy.
Nirvana gently holds her child as she moves the blanket to see her child's face. Upon being put in his mother's arms, the boy immediately stops crying and starts making those cute baby noises. His arm slowly raises and gently grips his mother's finger as his eyes open for a single moment and Nirvana's eyes widen. Her son's eyes are a perfect crystal blue.
A shaky smile dresses Nirvana's face, and she holds her child close as tears stream down her face. "He has his father's eyes." Nirvana cries as she holds her hold close, completely ignoring the fact that he's the prophesied male Gerudo, the future king of the Gerudo.
