I frowned as my alarm went off, looking out the window to see the sun had just started to rise. I rushed towards the bathroom brushing my teeth and then hopping in the shower, dressing and fixing my hair for work quickly. I went to the kitchen making two protein shakes as I saw Kiyoomi’s figure come in from the front door, fully dressed. “Morning love.” I beamed. He kissed my forehead, grabbing one of the shakes and walking towards the door. I slipped my shoes on following him out the door with my bag. Locking the door I put the key in my purse as Kiyoomi and I went to the parking lot and into the car. On the way to my job it was quiet, we listened to the radio and focussed on whatever was on our mind. “Bye Kiyo.” I kissed him and left the car going into the building as he drove off. Walking towards the front desk I showed my ID and went to my boss’ office. Telling him what he had scheduled right now and organising documents. It was hard being a secretary, not only did I need to remember my boss’ schedule but I also had to run a lot of errands and organise documents. I worked on my feet mostly and got to sit only when it was around nine which was when all the calls would roll in. Sighing, I stood at my bosses side explaining who he had to see at this time. He was a middle aged man with brown hair and dark brown eyes, you could see some grey strands on his moustache. I excused myself from the room feeling dizzy and nauseous. Making my way to the nearest bathroom I vomit up my breakfast and snack I had a while ago. My head spinned as the nauseous feeling disappeared. I quickly cleaned my hands and mouth as I walked towards my desk grabbing my water bottle and sitting down. Just then my boss came from his office and saw the look on my face as sweat beaded on my forehead. I could feel a fever coming. “Are you alright Ms. Shio?” He asked a bit worried for his employee’s health. “I’m alright sir I’m just a bit fatigued, nothing too serious!” I tried assuring him by standing up. My vision blurred as I almost fell, grabbing hold of my desk as I sat again. “Hmm, you don’t seem well to me, I need my employee’s to be in their best condition at all times and you’re one of my best,” he sighed “please try not to overwork yourself today.” Saying those few words he walked off to a meeting. Sighing, I opened up my computer and organised some files I was sent while waiting for the phone to ring. Some time later Mr. Hanata returned and I informed him of the representative of another company that would be here soon. It was about five minutes until my lunch break when Mr. Hanata called me to his office. “You’ve been working so diligently for the past few weeks, I’m glad I took you in.” He paused, “but your health is a serious thing when it comes to working in a company like this one, please get a checkup.” I nodded my head before departing from the company for my lunch break. I went to a small restaurant just a few steps across the street. Ordering my usual udon I sat down enjoying my ten minutes of rest. Taking out my phone I took a picture of my lunch and sent it to Kiyoomi. He is probably training right now.
I paid the bill and left to head back to the office. I tucked my phone into my bag and wandered back into the building and towards the elevator. My head grew dizzy once more and I felt myself losing balance before I could reach the elevator.
