My father’s shouts could be heard from the living room as he verbally beat Sayako. “Would you open your legs for anyone?!” “I don’t think I would’ve let you stay here and continue to live off your mother and I if I knew you were such a disgusting person!” More and more violent shouts after the other came before it quieted down. I could hear a door slamming and Kiyoomi walking into the kitchen with an annoyed look. “Let’s go home.” He sighed. “Wait! At Least let me pack some food for you two to go with.” My mother forced a smile before taking out two containers and scooping food into the bowls. “Here. maybe you guys could come over some other time, you can call us if you need anything.” Her usual wide smile couldn’t be seen and was replaced by a small curve. “Thank’s ma, I’m sorry if I caused you any trouble.” I sighed, taking the bag of food and went to my father in the living room who had a livid expression on his face. “Dad, we’re gonna leave now, bye.” I smiled softly. He sighed nodding. We sat in the car in silence. I had a raging headache and my skin began heating up. I shouldn’t have stressed myself like this. A heavy sigh escaped my lips as I leaned back in the seat trying to get some rest. “Do you want some water?” Kiyoomi looked at me with an aggrieved face. “Thanks Kiyo.” I took the bottle from his hand, emptying it in a few gulps. “I’m sorry the meeting went like this, I’m too short tempered.” I sighed and he began driving. The drive to our apartment was quiet and I actually got to rest.

“Your burning up Shirai.” Kiyoomi glared at me. “I know, I know-'' he cut me off. “Don’t say it’s ok just go lay down I’ll make something for you to eat and get the medicine.” He sighed moving from my side on the bed. “My hero.” I mocked rolling my eyes. Kiyoomi came back to the room with a bowl of rice porridge and some tablets for me to take after. “You should stay home, call the office.” He suggested getting ready to leave. “Mmn.” I hummed knowingly as I took the medicine. “I could still go to work tomorrow I’m fi-” “I said you need to stay home until you’re in the right condition, don’t make this harder than it already is, it’s for the baby’s health and yours.” He glared at me leaving the room. I huffed reaching for my phone and talking to the manager about my situation. After speaking and hanging up, I crawled back under the comfort of the blanket. My eyelids grew heavy and I soon fell asleep. -
I woke up to see the sun already high in the sky, 1:46. I sighed, getting up as the nauseous feeling rolled around. I spent about twenty minutes in the bathroom throwing up nothing. Dizziness overwhelmed me and I sat leaned against the bathroom wall. Getting up I went to shower then started cleaning the apartment which never had any dust to be seen because of Kiyoomi’s obsession with having the place clean thinking he would get sick from even a pillow misplaced on the couch. After that I took what felt like hours of sleep. I began cooking as I expected Kiyoomi to be home soon. I smiled as I smelt the stew’s aroma flowing around the room. I heard a knock at the door and immediately got up. “Hello?” I said slightly opening the door. A male stood in front of me. “Hey Shirai.” My friendly smile immediately dropped and I looked at the blonde in front of me. “What do you want, I told you I didn’t want contact with you again.” I glared at the man. “I just miss you so much, you know it isn’t my fault.” He tried reasoning. “How the hell did you even get my address Kazuya?” I argued. “That doesn’t matter does it, but I really do still love you Shirai.” “Don’t come back here.” I shut the door in his face, locking it and walking back to the kitchen. “Fucking hell.” I groaned, switching off the stove as a knock came to the door again.
