9: Natrista's freak out

My hands were chained and I could only move about a foot away from the wall. I got fed twice a day always at eight in the morning and five at night. Well at least that reassured me that my country was in good health since I was.

"Riley." Zoey called as she came down the steps with a bowl of soup. It smelt terrible and probably tasted as bad as the rest. But I had to eat them anyway. I needed to stay as healthy as I could to keep my citizens healthy.

"More soup?" I asked at the slightest hope it was something else. But that was crushed as soon as Zoey nodded her head.

"Don't worry Riley, I'm trying to talk them into letting me bring you some of mommy's homemade soup for you. Of corse I'm going to get mommy to make some for them because if they don't get any then neither will you." Zoey said and passed me the bowl.

I quickly ate it knowing I only had three minutes to eat it all. I quickly finished it, just as Russia came down stairs and patted me down to make sure Zoey didn't give me anything. I sighed and let him do this for the second time today. I was sort of getting tired of being patted down every day, twice a day, for a month. I just wanted to see America, Natrista and all the other counties again.

"I got to go, da? World meeting in a few days, da." Russia said just before he left to go back up stairs with Zoey. I sighed and leant against the wall behind me. How much longer was I going to be stuck down here?

Germany's P.O.V.

(The Next Day)

Everyone was in a panic. A country going missing

has never happened before. For all the countries that have gone missing we all knew that they dissolved. But for Ryter, being so youngly known was weird. She couldn't have just dissolved.

"Okay zhat is enough. I say we check Natrista and Ryter's island tomorrow. Since she hasn't stepped upon anyone else's land zhats zhe last place we can check." I said and everyone nodded in agreement.

"Good plan but who of us will be going?" England asked. He, along with the rest of the countries had only met her once but so far like her.

"Vell, Natrista has to come since she's zhe only one zhat knows how to get zhere."

"Oh Vest and zhe awesome me have to go since ve're her big bruders. It only makes sense for us to go." Prussia said and there was a bit of whispering about that.

"Does Prussia count as her older brother?"

"I don't know. He's not a country anymore."

"Why does a non-country get to go?"

"Enough talk about that." Natrista yelled at everyone in the room. Everyone went silent and just looked at her. "You guys talk about Prussia not being a real country but your wrong. He's got the east side of Germany and he's got an area in Ontario, Canada called New Prussia. Don't even think about asking who Canada is because he's sitting right beside me with his polar bear."

"Natrista, calm down." Denmark said and Natrista glared at him causing him to instantly sit back down.

"No, how am I supposed to calm down when my best friend is missing. Her and I grew up together. She's the only reason I'm here today. If it weren't for her I would have died as soon as I became a country. She raised me when her country was only seven years old. You guys just don't understand how it feels to lose someone that close to you.

"Yea some of you like England may know what it feels like to lose someone but they're still here with you. The only one who understands is Italy, and somehow he still manages to smile everyday. H-how can you d-do that, knowing the people you once loved will never come back? W- what happens if Ryter never comes back?" She ends as she suddenly breaks down in tears.

Italy looks down at his lap and starts muttering to himself. I know what Natrista hurt but he and I both know Natrista didn't mean what she said. Suddenly he stood and ran over to Natrista. He gave her a hug and wouldn't let go. But that didn't seem to matter since Natrista only hugged her back.

"What about me, dude?" America asks softly. "Don't I get to come?"

  "Of course. I'm sure she'd vant to see you." I said and everyone who was paying attention nodded. "Okay, so we leave tomorrow. Natrista, how long do you think it will take us to get there?"

  "About five days, if the winds work in our favour." She said once she let go of Italy.

  "I'm coming too, Ve~" Italy said throwing his hands up in the air. I was about to say that he needed to stay here when I thought better of it. Italy has lost too many people in his life and I might as well let him help get one of those people back. Ryter meant as much to me as she did to him.

  "Okay, zhe meeting is over. You may all go home." I said and everyone slowly got up to leave. Some counties offered to come along, meaning England, France and Japan. I told them they could as long as they we're at the docks by one p.m. tomorrow. They all nodded and left to go to their separate hotel rooms.

 

 Russia's P.O.V.

  As soon as the meeting was over I went right to the docks and headed to Natrista and Ryter's island. I needed to warn everyone about the coming nations. I needed to make sure none of them would tell that Ryter was actually there. Maybe if I threatened them saying I would kill Ryter they'd keep quiet. I sure hoped so. 

"Big bruder, what's the plan?" Belarus asked when she was suddenly beside me. I stopped myself from running away but it took a lot of effort. I needed her as an ally right now.

  "We're going to threaten the Ryterians, da?"
