Deadly Trip

Chapter 3: Drunken Nights

    Those drunken nights with the girls were always the best. We never fought, although Natalie and Sarah once had an argument about who was better, Jacob or Edward. But we mostly just had a good time and loved each other no matter how much we vomited almost on each other. I usually held Tanya's hair back since I'm the one who knows how to hold my liquor.

    We had another one of these wonderful drunken nights at the lake, but something was off this time. We argued. All of us. A full blown screaming match. All because I got a micro amount of water on Sarah's towel. She screamed bloody murder, bawling her eyes out because of the water on her towel. All of us ran back inside to let her scream.

    After about five minutes of silence, we thought she was done. Then we heard another scream, all of us assumed some water dripped from her arm on the towel and got it wetter. We figured it was safe from Sarah now so we went out to check on her. But she was gone. Tanya noticed something floating in the lake ominously. We ambled closer to see what that figure in the water was. It was Sarah.. Not just relaxing either. Sarah had now become colder than she usually is. Breathless.. Dead... Surrounded by gross, bloody water. Her own blood.

    We found a pocket knife somewhat buried in the sand as if whoever did this attempted to hide the evidence just very poorly. There was a note taped to it that said "T is next, no cops, or I'll come after you all at once." We dragged Sarah out of the lake by her crisp legs. Noticed she had been stabbed maybe three times in the abdomen and a couple times in her chest.

    We grabbed some garbage bags and tape to wrap her glacial corpse in. We spritzed some of her tropical island perfume to cover some of the smell every few hours. Taking turns. With Tanya's sobs all hours of the night, and our best friend, murdered just outside of the lake house. Let's just say, none of us slept that night.
