I had hoped for the next few hours that maybe this was some horrid prank that Sarah had planned all of highschool or something like that, but as I started to snap out of my state of panic paralysis, I realised it's not a prank. She's dead. My best friend for the last four-teen years was dead. Just outside of the big beautiful lake house. She didn't even get to enjoy the trip. She was supposed to go to Yale with a scholarship, she was supposed to leave early to look at dorms and plan her classes but not this early, and not in this way.

I remember my eyes were heavy and red at that point. Nobody else's eyes had time to redden as the water works were flowing too quickly. It had stopped for me. I think I was just in shock and that controlled me more than panic paralysis. All of us are terrified of the note aka death threat for not only Tanya, but all of us. Because of this mystery person we can't even get our chilled friend's body transported to a morgue. Or give her a proper service since we can't leave now. All because of someone, some monster. I had always loved horror movies growing up, but certainly not the one I'm in as of a few hours ago.

We all tried to protect Tanya the best we could. But we knew nothing would stop this monster from getting her too, hell, all of us. No cops, no ambulance, no help at all. We're stuck. With a killer on the loose. I hoped it would rain to hopefully remove some blood from the lake. No one even took Sarah's things inside, we all freaked out and got Sarah covered and ran into the comfort of light. We just wanted to be home with our families.. Natalie finally broke the ear drum bursting silence,
"What do we do about Sarah and Tanya?"
    "I just don't know" I sighed
"I don't care what we do or what happens, I just don't want to die here!" Tanya begins sobbing. Tanya decides to go outside for air, we watched her to be safe. But soon we all needed a bathroom break. All I'll say is, we shortly regretted it. We heard a scream once again. I don't think any of us even washed our hands. We just sprang outside. Nothing. We saw nothing. Just darkness. That's what worries us most.

I heard a clanging sound out front. So I did the stupid thing and investigated it like in the movies. Tanya. Her head at least. In a bush. I saw the rest of her body in another bush next to it. Covered with blood smears and a couple of bruises forming, I scream next and Natalie comes running. We both scream. Bloody murder, the same bloody murder as Tanya's. I trip backwards out of fear landing in a bush. I noticed something out of the corner of my eye and soon realised, I was sitting next to Tanya's disfigured arm. Farther back was the other one. I just wanted all of it to be over, the trip, the whole summer, college, I just wanted this whole ordeal to end... Natalie helped me up and we both stared back at our helpless friend's decapitated head and her blank eyes.

Both of us wondering what to do next. Stay and die next? Abandon Sarah and Tanya? We were stuck. In a nightmare. That seemed to repeat in my head over and over again for the next eight months. At every moment the shadows in my head could force me to remember the traumatic summer.. We did the same with Tonya's body as Sarah's. Covering the smell with some perfume and essential oils. The worst part was the blood on my hands after digging around the bushes in the front of the lake house for all of my dear friend.. After we grabbed some sponges and cleaned up the pavement to the best of our abilities, I found another note.. it read "What did I tell you."
