Another dragon bites the dust...quite literally. My brother managed to save the Deadly Nadders life from the biting edge of Astrids ax via the 'soft spot'. Her expression was grand, a mix of utter shock and boiling rage. It was quite possible that the offer of friendship might go stale, I might have to accelerate it before that happened.
For the third time in a fortnight I chased after her, for the third time in a fortnight the weapon in her hand was at my throat.
"Oi, put it down." this time I lightly knocked the ax away from its strike zone and grabbed her shoulders.
"Calm down you could explode passing song birds with that stare." I shook her slightly to punctuate my sentence.
"Why do you always follow me when I don't wanna be followed." She glared at me.
"Because frankly I'm worried for the local tree population." I offered, cheekily.
She puffed up her cheeks and blew them out slowly.
"You sound like Hiccup." Her eyes hardened at the mention of his name. So that's why.
"Soooo obviously you are pissed at my brother, what awkward thing did he do this time." Sorry to throw you under the bus Hiccup but I'm trying to get you a girlfriend here.
"That's the problem he isn't being awkward, He is doing so good, but not in the conventional way, not a drop of blood spilt, nothing. He managed to get from bottom to top in only a few days and I have no idea HOW."
I went slightly pale. Yeah no way i could fix this one with the truth.
"Yeah I noticed, I'm not sure either, but I bet if you two get to know each other he would probably let you in on his secret, the boy can't keep one to save his life." Utter lies.
"Maybe I will. Thanks I guess." She turned around and started to walk off.
"Where you going?"
"To threaten Berk's tree population."
"Good luck have fun, bye." I waved and turned around. Waiting a couple minutes before running off. I haven't seen the dragons today I bet Hiccup was already there.
A/n super short chapter but I've got to re-watch the movie to get my timeline right lol sorry it'll be a bit before another long one but I'll try to find a descriptive synopsis until then.
