Chapter 5

Anne's POV

"Are we almost there yet?" The little girl asked clearly annoyed. "Almost Anne, just a few minutes, then we are there. The little girl just nodded and continued to look outside.

"Mommy, why do we have to go to aunties house?" The little girl asked again. "Because we are safer there, okay?" The woman says. " Okay..".

"We're almost there, Anne." The woman says.

"But Mommy, this is not aunties house. Why is it so big?" The little girl asked again.

"She moved here a few months ago, okay?" The woman lied. She then stopped for 4 gaurds and rolled down the window.

"Ma'am, please step out of the car." one of the gardens says. The woman nods and nods at her daughter to come with.

"No, not the girl, only you," one says.

"I will take my daughter with me," the woman says, now standing outside with the girl holding her hand.

"Only you," a gaurd says sternly.

"No," the woman says, sassy.

"Ma'am I will not ask again, only you will come with us then we will take the girl later." A gaurd says.

"No, my daughter will come with me." The woman says again. Suddenly, one of the gaurds opens the door where the girl is sitting, grabs the little girls arm, and drags her with him.

"Mommy!" The little girl screams.

"ANNE, NO!" The woman screams. Then the little girl sees something no one wants to see. Her mother is screaming for her child but gets trown on her knees facing the girl. Then, a gaurd shoots her right through the head.

"MOMMY NO!" The little girl cries. But her cries suddenly stop as she gets injected with something.

I startle awake, sweat covering my forehead. I feel myself hyperfentilating again. No, no, not again.

I feel myself shaking as I sit up, my back resting against the wall. I,m shaking and can't breathe normally. A big knot is tied in my stomach, leaving me sick.

For some reason, this feels familiar. I knew it had happened the very first night here, but this was different. It felt familiar, and that was weird. What was also weird is that my head was throbbing like crazy. I felt dizzy and saw blurry spots in my vision. I want to stand up to get out of bed, but my legs give in almost immediately, making me fall on the ground. My head starts throbbing even more now, and I sit up again, grabbing my head, trying to make it go away.

I sit on the ground now, really panicking. I don't say anything. I don't like to scream. I never do it. I hate it.

Then I heard a door open. "Is everything okay?" I hear Newt say. I feel myself sigh a bit in relief and try to say something back, but I just have a ball in my troat as big as a goddamn bowling ball.

I hear the door fall open wider, and I see Newt standing there with his eyes still a bit closed and a little slumped through his back. I sit up a bit and see him coming in further.

I,m shaking like crazy but as soon as he sees me, his eyes widen, and he stands up straight. I look at him scared, and he immediately runs over to me, going on his knees and lifting me on his lap so I have my head resting against his chest
