DAMI LEE AND NARI YANG had been friends ever since they starred in a movie and bonded over their status as single mothers in the acting and model business. They were young when they had their children Ha Yun and Min Ho, so they were bound to meet each other since their mothers were great friends and coworkers.

They were eight when their mothers decided it was time to bring them together. They hoped their kids would be friends since they would be hanging out often since they were left alone during movie scenes.

For a while, they got along and played with each other while they watched their idols - their mothers act beautifully. But their competitive and stubborn nature overruled their friendship, and it was hard to agree on one thing. They were headstrong, just like their mothers.

They would try and beat each other in everything; everything became a competition, especially their mother's attention. Min Ho usually had it more than Ha Yun, which probably started it, she was jealous, and he hoarded it over her head, making her angry.

Their 'hatred' had grown deeper over the years, they always found something to argue about, but they didn't hate each other they just pissed each other off. After years of hating and insulting each other, they had forgotten how to be friendly and friends.

So no, they weren't childhood friends but rather childhood enemies, and they would stay like that for the years to come.

They were tricky little things and acted like best friends when their mothers were around because they were so hung up on getting their attention and loved them too much to see them sad that they didn't like each other.

So every holiday, Dami and Nari had met up with their children by their side and acted like a family since their husbands had both left through the night without a word leaving them behind with their young children. Min Ho and Ha Yun spent most Christmas mornings together bragging about who had the best present, and their mothers made them do a couple outfit every Halloween (Nari had introduced the holiday to the Lees since her husband and Ha Yun was Australian by birth) and they fought over the biggest chocolate bar.

So it was safe to say they knew everything about each other, mainly the best way to get under their skins, the other's insecurities and fears. Still, they also knew each other's dreams and wishes for their future - they had vulnerable moments when they would unknowingly become friendly until they realized they had dropped their masks and gone back to insulting and playing pranks on the other.

Their mothers were convinced they would end up together forever since they pretended to be friends and lulled their mothers into a false pretence about their relationship or lack of. Min Ho and Ha Yun were excellent actors - they got it from their mothers.

Unbeknownst to Minny (Min Ho's dumb nickname for Ha Yun because she was so short and he was tall - something he pointed out all the time) and Sunshine (Min Ho's nickname that Ha Yun always sarcastically called him because he was as bright and annoying like the sun) Dami and Nari had an ongoing bet with the other on when they would get together. Dami had betted her most expensive Chanel bag on Min Ho, asking her before school started back up, and Nari was all bets with her Gucci boots on her daughter for during the school year. They didn't know what was riding on them, but all would be revealed in good time.

Their annoyance for each other shined when they went together to the same high school, a boarding school called the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS). They had free reign to show their dislike for the other since their mothers weren't watching them through creaked doors. Min Ho and Ha Yun tried distancing themselves but found themselves connected with their friends.

They had made friends in the same circle, with Ha becoming best friends with Yuri and 'Q' and roommates with Juliana (Yuri's other best friend), and Min Ho stuck to Q and Dae, his roommates - Yur's driver's son, so they were connected. It was annoying, but they got over it, and their friends found it amusing.

Bit of an intro. This is my first enemies-to-lovers fic, so hopefully, I do the trope justice, but it's kinda hard since they do have so much history, and they do like each other but are too stubborn.
