It was a month after the attack. Kinsley was sitting in her room reading a book. She looked up as Noah walked in. "How are you feeling?" he asked.

"I'm fine, I feel much better. The meds really are helping."

"Good, I'm glad to hear it. Have you had any trouble from anyone?"

Kinsley shook her head no, "Not too bad," she murmured, "Definitely less than before." She was starting to get use to the Elite just coming into her room whenever they felt like it. It was weird as heck but at least they had stopped treating her like crap. She knew there was no point in trying to stop them. They marched to their own beat. The bullying still happened but it was minimal and always happened when the Elite were not around. Kinsley refused to tell the Elite about it because she could handle it herself. Now that she didn't have to worry about physical attacks, a few mean words and hateful sneers barley phased her. Despite the Elite being sort of nice, she didn't want to rely on them. It was going to be a while before she fully trusted them.

Her thoughts drifted to the day after the event. She was sitting in the dining room with Anita when the Elite walked in and walked to her table. The room quieted as everyone waited to see what what would happen next. Ryan jumped on to the table. "Listen up everyone. Kinsley is under our protection. Any attack on her is an attack on us."

The dining room burst into quiet chatter as everyone let those words sink in. Kinsley looked up with wide eyes, "What the hell are you talking about?"

Ryan winked at her, "Well, we decided after yesterday that we are now going to protect you."

"Protect me?" Kinsley scoffed, "I wouldn't be in this shit if it wasn't for you guys."

Ash sat down beside her, "Look we behaved like major dicks. But we decided to stick it to the him and do our own thing."

"Who is him? Why did you guys start screwing me over in the first place? Until I get answers, I won't believe shit that comes from any of your mouths."

Levi turned his gaze to her, "Look Kinsley, we all need to have a major discussion but now is not the time for it. We have stuff we need to do beforehand. There are many moving pieces and we have to be careful."

Kinsley sighed and rolled her eyes, "Yeah okay, keep me in the dark because that's such a good idea."

"Let us know if anyone bothers you okay?" Noah said.

"Fine, fine. Whatever," Kinsley begrudgingly agreed as she stared after them as they left the room.

"Kinsley?"

Kinsley looked up to see Noah looking at her. "I'm fine," she replied, "Just lost in my own thoughts."

"Look, meet us tonight in our room. It's time we put everything on the table."

"Fine, now leave me in peace," she grinned at him.

Noah winked and left the room. Kinsley groaned and sent out a quick message to Trevor. He was going to be part of the meeting. There was no way she was doing this without him. She looked up to hear a knock on her door. She opened it and was immediately ingulfed in Levi's scent. Her mouth opened to his possessive kiss and he pressed her against the wall.

"I missed you Kinsley," he whispered as he bit her lip and than moved his lips down to her throat.

"You just saw me," she groaned back as she pressed back against him.

"I need you," he said.

"Take me," was her response.

Levi did take her. He took her against the wall and than on her desk, followed by the bed. He left her in a tangled, sweaty mess. Once he had left, Kinsley looked in the mirror. Her lips were puffy and hair was a mess. She was flushed and spent but looked happy. She couldn't believe how far they had come.
