Chapter 18

Kinsley groaned as she opened her eyes blinking at the bright light, "Why does this always happen to me?" she muttered as she squinted and looked around. She was hooked up to an IV line and the room was sterile and white. She looked over and saw Trevor sitting in a chair sleeping.

"Trevor?" she questioned.

Trevor opened his eyes and grinned big when he saw her, "Hey butterfly, glad to see you awake. You gave us quite a scare."

"What happened? I remember my father taking me and than Peter taking me from my father but I don't remember much more that that."

"I'll fill you in when the other guys get here."

"The elite are here?"

"Yup, they are just as worried about you as I am," Trevor said as he came over and gently kissed her on the forehead. 

Kinsley followed Trevor with her eyes as he went outside and motioned for them to come in. The elite came barging in, worry and stress evident on their features. 

"I'm so glad to see you awake beautiful," Levi said as he came over and kissed her cheek.

"You are a sight for sore eyes," Ash chimed in kissing her other cheek.

"We have got to stop seeing you like this," Ryan muttered as he leaned down and kissed her lips.

"So glad you're alive," Noah continued on as he brushed her hair out of her face, "I was so scared when you disappeared."

"We all were," Trevor affirmed, "These boys called me as soon as they realized you were gone."

"Boys," Ryan huffed, "We're men not boys."

Trevor smirked, "I'll call you boys if I want so suck it up buttercup."

Ryan glared at Trevor and he just smiled. 

"How about you guys stop comparing dicks and tell me what happened," Kinsley finally said. 

"Well, we found out that your dad had taken you," Levi started.

"Than we found out my father had you," Noah muttered, "I'm so sorry Kins. I'm so sorry for my father, for what he did. I feel absolutely awful I couldn't stop him."

"It's not your fault," Kinsley tried to console him, "He was an evil man. What happened to him anyways?"

Silence reigned in the room as the guys all looked at each other. "You don't remember?" Ash tentatively asked.

Kinsley shook her head no. 

Trevor came over to her and sat down beside her on the bed. Kinsley curled up into him. Trevor sighed and looked down at her and kissed her forehead, he looked up at the elite and nodded his head.

Ryan sighed, "You were unconscious when we found you. You were lying beside Peter drenched in blood."

"Peter was dead, very very dead," Levi continued on, "A knife was found beside you."

Kinsley went very still, "Did I kill him?"

"We think so love, the way the body was and how you were, it made the most sense," Ash softly said.

Kinsley's eyes widened, "Holy crap, I killed someone?! Am I going to jail?"

"No butterfly, we would never let that happen. Everything is cleared up. These boys," Trevor smirked noticing Ryan's eyes glare at him," Used their connections to make sure that it was without a doubt self defense and that no charges will be made against you."

"You will have to give your statement at some point," Noah said, "But there is no rush on it."

"But I don't remember it, I don't remember what happened," Kinsley softly said.
