[Location: Monastery of Spinjitzu]

—Kai: "My turn! Uh—It's my turn!"

—Cole: "Oh, you want a little more? Take this!"

—Jay: "Oh yeah? How about this!?

—Kai: Monkey paw to the head!"

—Cole: "Ninja, roll!"

I was meditating in my room, practicing and enhancing my breathing. Until I heard the voices of the ninjas.

I could no longer concentrate so I decided to go out of my new room and see.

—Jay: "Dragon punch!"

—Kai: "Ninja, go!"

I see they were training. I noticed master Wu there as well. Probably coming for the same reasons as I did.

A bit of commotion happened and I decided to approached.

—Kai: "Sensei, Zane's... weird."

—Wu: "What is weird? Someone who is different? Or someone who is different than you."

—Cole: "No, sensei. He's 'weird' weird."

Jay noticed my presence from behind and screamed.

—Jay: "AHH—!"

He was now holding his chest to recover from the jump-scare. They others were also caught off-guard by my presence.

—Me: "Greetings."

They all turn to master Wu, seeking for an explanation.

—Wu: "Boys, this is [Y/n] Tsugikuni. She's an outlander and will be staying with us for the time being. Treat her nicely"

—Kai: "Outlander...?"

He raises a brow suspiciously. Zane on the other hand was more welcoming.

—Zane: "Alright, we will do our best to make you feel welcomed"

He smiles. I nod to him, not smiling back but appreciating the gesture.

At that moment, the postman arrived with letters. Jay, Cole and Kai ran to him excitedly.

—The three: "Mail!"

The postman pants and begins to hand the letters out.

—Postman: "Let's see... A letter from Jay's parents. Kai has a fan letter. Oh, something from Cole's father."

He hands them out.

—Cole: What, no package? I'm expecting something from Creatures, Beasts and Beyond.

—Postman: No. Nothing from... uh-huh. Here it is!

He finds a package and gives it to Cole.

Cole: Ha! Rocky's gonna love this!

I tilt my head at the name 'Rocky'... 'is that another member?'

From the corner of my eye, I noticed Zane walking sadly.

—Jay: "Hey, Zane. How come you never hear anything from your parents?"

—Zane: "I don't remember my parents. I've been an orphan all my life."

I pat his back sympathetically and he smiles at me, with a sad yet thankful glint.

—Kai: "You mean you've never had a home?"
