Like Sunshine

I shuddered. Lucifer was really intimidating, but if I want to survive here I need to learn to be stronger both mentally and physically. So what if I'm a human? I can't let others, especially demons, scare me or look down on me.

I got up and left the classroom for another lecture. It was soon recess. I was by my locker, keeping my stuff inside. "Hey Minho!" I turned to the direction I heard my name from, it was Felix. "Hii Felix what's up?" Felix leaned against the lockers next to me "Are you free right now?" Felix asked, patiently waiting for my answer "Yeah I got nothing to do right now" he stood straight up and asked excitedly "do you want to spend time with me till the recess is over?" "Yea sure, let's go!"

Felix grabbed my hand, which was kind of unexpected but I didn't really mind. "Let me take you somewhere" he said while we were walking past the crowd in the corridor. He suddenly stopped. I followed the direction he was looking at and saw Lucifer and Christopher walking towards us. "Lix are you feeling okay?" Lucifer asked while stopping right in front of us before continuing "did you hit your head or something?" To this Felix furrowed his brows and answered "uh no? Im feeling alright" "then why are you hanging out with this mundane? Have your standards dropped or do you just want a new fuck toy?" Felix was taken back "Hyunjin learn to mind your own business. It doesn't concern you who I'm hanging out with"

"Lix don't talk to Hyunjin like that. He's older than you, learn to respect him" Christopher chimed in. "Chan you always take his side. What's wrong with me making friends?" Felix's mood just took a 180⁰ turn "Lix you have alot of friends, why do you want to be friends with this human? Infact all you siblings have befriended him except me and Hyunjin" Christopher said side eyeing me disgustingly.

"WAIT WHAT? WHAT DO YOU MEAN? ALL OUR SIBLINGS ARE FRIENDS WITH THIS MUNDANE?" Lucifer was really loud because now everyone in the corridor was looking at us and whispering to each other obviously gossiping. I put my head down, contemplating if I should speak up or not. Felix squeezed my hand to reassure me that it's fine and that he got this.

Felix was about to say something but Yeji interrupted "Yes Jinnie, we all are friends with him. I don't see a problem with it so please calm your ass down" "Lucy not you too" Lucifer said with a sigh. "Fine let's drop this topic" said Christopher "Fine" Lucifer replied. "Jinnie you need to go see dad, he asked for you-" Lucifer immediately left before Yeji could complete. Christopher left and now it was only three of us standing in the corridor. "Sorry i interrupted. I saw what was happening and i couldn't stand back and don't mind my brothers, they are idiots" Yeji said with a smile "no actually thank you for standing up for me"

"I'm gonna go now. You two have fun!" with that Yeji left. "We still have 20 mins, let's go!" Felix grabbed my hand again and now we were running. We reached the top of a small hill that was located behind the school. It was beautiful. "I like the view. Its so pretty" I said without taking my eyes off it "I know right! Come sit" Felix said, tapping the spot next to him. When we were comfortable enough he passed me a sandwich "here, I know you're hungry" "Thank you" We were soon comfortable and enjoying the view while eating.

"You know I never thought hell would be this beautiful" I said. "Humans have a misconception about hell, which is understandable since they can't really see hell unless they're dead. Hell has both, the ugly side and the beautiful side just like humans or any beings" he said. "So I'm assuming the ugly side is where souls get punished?" I asked. "Yes, not everyone has access to that side though except authorities. The beautiful side is for the Demons to live and have a normal life like getting educated, trained etc" Felix replied.

"What about Earth? How's life there?" Felix asked, looking at me curiously. "Earth is beautiful too. Humans, just like you said have both beautiful and ugly side. Not all humans are good but not all are bad" I said "What about your life?" Felix asked turning to face me. I took a sigh before speaking "I've had it rough. My parents treated me like shit even though I was their only child. I'm pretty sure they're glad I'm dead I know I am."

I didn't want to cry, not here, not now. "It's okay Minho, forget about your life there. You have me now, I'll be there for you" Felix said softly while holding my hand. I appreciated him for saying that, it made me feel so much better "Thank you Felix. You're very sweet. I know I can count on you" Felix smiled brightly at my words. He's like...Sunshine after Rain.
