Everything has its limits

"Hello my beautiful kids" said mom as she entered the room. "Mom?!" Both Christopher and me yelled before running to hug her. "We missed you so much" said Christopher "I missed you kids too. How is everyone doing?" Asked mom as she kissed our forehead "Oh they are doing fine! Felix and Han were feeling a bit down since you were taking too long to come back" I said.

"I'm sorry, you know I couldn't come back empty handed, without knowing anything. And come on! I was just gone for 2 years, it's not that long" She said with a small smile. "It's okay mom we understand" said Christopher. I hugged her once again "how come you got my looks and personality but are a mumma's boy?" asked dad.

"Careful dad your soft and jealous side is showing" I said smugly. "Of course, its only for my family to see!" Said dad. "So mom did you find anything?" Asked Christopher "Yes I did. Call the kids for dinner tonight we'll discuss then" said mom. We both nodded in response. "Come on kids let your mom rest now. Don't skip more lectures. Go" said dad.

We said our goodbyes and left for school. "Do you think mom found some useful information?" Chan asked. "I mean she did come back. If she didn't find something useful, she wouldn't have come back" I said. Mom has always been like that. She worked hard at whatever she did. She wasn't a typical Queen who would not do anything because she had it all. She worked along side dad, one of the traits I loved about her.

"Tell me Jinnie, why him?" Asked Chan making me focus from the scenery to him "What do you mean?" I asked with furrowed brows and confusion evident on my face "why that human?" Chan asked again. I rolled my eyes "Brother can you elaborate?" I asked. "That contract bullshit you're pulling off with him. You never even bother with humans. I understand our other siblings, they make friends irrespective of them being humans or demons. But you aren't like them. So tell me why him?" Chan asked curiously.

"It's just to pass time Channie, don't over think it. Once we finally graduate, I wont have time to have fun anyways" I said with a straight face. "Then why did you react like that during breakfast?" Chan asked raising an eyebrow "Oh come on you know I don't like others touching the toy I'm having fun with. Felix can have him once I'm done" I said. Chan hummed in response but his face showed doubts.

By the time we got back it was break "did you both just come back from the palace?" Asked Seungmin as me and Chan sat down. "Yes and we have good news" I stated. All of them looked at us curiously "Mother's back!" Chan exclaimed "OH MY HELL!" Han yelled
"LETS GO VISIT HER!" Felix yelled getting up "Calm down Felix. Mom said to come for dinner. She's resting now" I said

"Did she find something?" Asked Yeji "Yes. She said she'll discuss it during dinner" said Chan. "Where's Minho?" I asked curiously "he's with Wooyoung" answered Jeongin. I hummed understandingly. Soon the recess bell rang indicating its end and we all left for our respective classes.

Minho had the same lecture as me but right now I don't see him anywhere. Seems like he skipped, so I made a mental note on finding him after this lecture.

After the boring lecture was done I immediately left to find Minho. He wasn't in the school building so my guess was the training grounds since he won't skip his lectures just to chill on the hill or the garden. And surely enough there he was, struggling with something as simple as elemental magic. His face clearly showed something was bothering him, therefore being the reason of his struggle. He looked unfocused and frustrated even upset yet beautiful.

Minho's POV

I couldn't focus on my lectures. The only thing that has been bugging me is Wooyoung's death. I had been asking him every single day about what happened and what he wanted to talk to me about that day but he still refused to tell me anything. He said I'll know in time and that I needed to be patient.

But everything has its limits. My patience was running out. If Hyunjin really did kill Wooyoung then that means I'm not safe at all and the situation isn't exactly on my side considering the fact that I'm literally his slave. Yes, im trying to have fun but it's difficult when I'm a slave of a murderer.

I thought since Felix was close to me, he'd tell me something about it, but he's tight lipped as well. So I made up my mind. I'm going to confront Wooyoung one last time and get the answers out of him, I'll do whatever it takes. I was determined.

So as soon as the bell rang for recess I bolted out to go find Wooyoung. I ran into Jeongin in the hall way "Hey Minho" Jeongin greeted with his charismatic smile "Oh hi Jeongin!" I greeted back warmly. "Will you be joining us for break?" Asked Jeongin "I'm sorry Jeongin not today. I'm need to meet up with Wooyoung" I answered with a smile. "Okay! I think I saw Wooyoung down the hall way near the stairs" said Jeongin.

I thanked Jeongin and rushed for the stairs before I lost him. He was walking down the stairs with San. "Wooyoung-ah!" I called out. He turned and smiled when he saw me "Minho-ya what are you doing here? I thought you would be with the princes" said Wooyoung. I silently greeted San before answering "I'm here to talk to you so I won't be joining them today"

Wooyoung sighed "Minho-ya if it's about that night I'm not going to answer anything so please stop asking again and again" Wooyoung said shaking his head negatively "I need answers Wooyoung-ah and this time I'm not leaving you alone till you tell me!" I stated

"Minho-ya I can't tell you anything, im not allowed to. It's for your own safety, please understand!" Wooyoung pleaded. "No Woo not this time. This time I won't be understanding. I've been patient for too long but this concerns my safety too. I'm a slave of the man you said was your killer. Do you know how conflicted I feel. So please be honest" I said looking down.

Wooyoung deep down felt really guilty because he was the reason why his close friend was in this shitty situation. "Lucifer is going to kill me again if I tell" Wooyoung muttered under his breath before looking at San then back at me. With a heavy sigh he said "Fine I'll tell you."

I will leave you hanging here. Anyways thanks for being patient as always. I decided to upload today since I took a day off from studying for my exams. Next chapter will be a bit important for the plot so look forward to it!
