Scarlett and Alex kept dating through the remainder of high school, and still managed to keep a healthy relationship when they went to different colleges. Alex proposed when they were both twenty three, and she accepted.
Alex pursued his dream of being an actor, and Scarlett became a forensic scientist.
Scarlett had a kid at twenty six, who they named Lydia. She inherited Alex's love for music, and Scarlett's thirst for knowledge. She grew up to be an artist, which both her parents were proud of her for. Real proud, not usual parent-child proud where they're faking it.
All and all, their life wasn't perfect, but it was perfect for them.
And that's more than enough for them.
Hard to believe that a life-long relationship started with something as childish as
