Raeveon's POV
Rose loads me into the car and she begins to drive home. I go back and forth in my head about whether or not I should speak up. "Mommy?"
"Yes, sweetheart?" Rose says with an unnaturally bright smile.
"Why did chu cover my ears in the visiting room? And why didn't we see Daddy?" I notice the smile on her face fade a little when I say, Daddy. My questions continue as my curiosity grows. "And why do you dislike him so much, we know it wasn't his fault when he kidnapped me, it was Paityn's!"
"STOP" Rose practically screams. "Listen," she sighs. "You know how I feel about him remaining in your life sweetie, but to answer your question, Emory was just sleepy therefore he was taking a nap. That's all."
Ha, bullshit. I try to think to myself but end up blurting out.
"Language sweetie!" Rose raises her voice and gives me a warning look in the rearview mirror. "Look, I know you wanted to see him today, so how about we give you something else to look forward to? How about we get you some pizza, how does that sound little one?"
I nod and put on a smile, trying to look sincere.
"Good baby" She reaches her hand back and rubs my hand softly.

"Sweetie, don't forget to do your homework before Alicia comes over!" Rose shouts from the other room. Alicia is someone I met at school and she's coming over today. I begin my homework and halfway through the phone rings. "Rose, the phone is ringing!" I yell, but no response. I sigh and go and pick up the phone. "Hello?" I say with an annoyed tone.
"Hi, is this the family of Emory Johnson?"
"Yes, who is this?"
"This is The Old Wayne County Jail, I'm here to speak to you about the funeral arrangements for Mr.Johnson. We can either cremate or bury his body, it is completely up to you."
"Wait, wait, wait, back up, are you saying that Emory is dead?!"
"Yes, that is correct...Were you never informed?"
"N-no, I wasn't actually. I'm sorry, can I call you back please?"
"Yes, you may, you also have the option to donate his body, just keep that in mind."
"Can I ask something, how did he die?"
"He was beaten to death in his sleep, dear."
"Alright thank you, bye." I hang up the phone.
I storm into Rose's office with a look of disgust. "Are you serious?!"
She barely looks up from her computer. "Sweetie you know better than to yell at mommy, now what's up?" I stay silent, trying to figure out how to respond. She then looks up at me with a concerned look on her face. "Baby, what's wrong?" She pats her lap, "Come tell me what's wrong."
"Why didn't you tell me Emory is dead?" I look down at the floor. And that's when the truth hit me: Emory is forever gone. I fall to my knees and start sobbing.
"Oh, sweetheart come here." Rose wraps her arms around me.
"Don't touch me! You're a liar, you lied about the door in my nursery, and now this?!! That door was one thing but now you're just taking it too far! I can't believe you! What else have you lied about? You don't even love m-" The doorbell rings and I stand up, wiping my tears. "Let's just act like a happy family for now, but as soon as I get the chance, I'm leaving, I can't stand liars like you," I say with disappointment in my tone.
"Hi! How are you?" I exclaim while opening the door. "Come in."
"I'm good, thanks. Wow, why are you going to such a shitty school when you have money..." Alicia's voice trails off when she sees my face. "Hey, you oka-" She's interrupted when Rose walks into the room.
"Hello, you must be Alicia, it's nice to meet you." I look down as Rose shakes Alicia's hand. "Can I get you two anything?"
"I'm fine" Alicia and I say in unison. We head upstairs to my room, thankfully I was sure to close my nursery door. We start to do anything every other teenager would do, talk about our crushes and eat junk food.
After Alicia left I sit on my bed and my head is filled with thoughts on whether or not Rose truly loves me. I get up and begin to pack when Rose enters the room, leaning against the door frame.
"Where are you going to go hon?"
"To my father's, he already said it's okay if I come," I grumble.
"Okay baby, I'll drive you there."
"There's no need, he's coming to pick me up."
"I said I'm going to drop you off, I want to meet him and see if his living space is good enough for you."
"Alright fine! I just need to be left alone right now." At that, Rose leaves the room and grabs her keys.
Time skip to an hour later, Rose's POV
I'm sitting on the couch watching a boring tv show when I hear Raeveon come downstairs. "Ready to go baby boy?"
"Don't call me that, you know that makes me small." He responds in a dead tone.
"That's exactly why I used it, you do realize that this will probably be the last time you'll be little in a while right?" I say and he just avoids looking at me. "Aww, come here sweet boy!" I pick Rae up and spin them around.
"No! Put me down!" I hear him yell as he squirms around in my arms. I pop a pacifier in his mouth with Temazepam on it, making him fall asleep quickly.
I walk out to the car and put him in his car seat. I drive him to an abandoned warehouse and lock him into a crib inside a nursery identical to his nursery at home. "Sweet dreams baby," I say, caressing his cheek, then I walk outside to my car and begin to drive home.
