Song for the chapter: Wonder ~ By: Shawn Mendes
I wonder, if I'm being real. Do I speak my truth or do I filter how I feel? I wonder wouldn't it be nice, To live inside a world that isn't black and white. I wonder what it's like to be my friends. Hope they don't think I forget about them. I wonder.

Earth, this would be the right time to engulf me in whole.
Raven was silently pleading the forces of nature to help her out in a very uncomfortable setting. A 'family' dinner.
"What flavour would you like?" And as quick as that, Raven's neck swerved to look at her younger real sibling, Catherine, and told the sister her go-to Pizza. Margherita.
While simultaneously avoiding the entire existence of her step-brother who just smirked her way in a very suggestive manner.
What is the deal with these guys?
These type of nights were surprisingly common in the Schmidt Residence. Pizza nights, movie nights, taco nights and so on. It was all a mirage to Raven.
A family she was promised to have but never actually did. For night outs with these people felt like eating with strangers to the older. Raven missed the warmth, the understanding and the familiarity that a healthy family should have.
On the other hand, she couldn't expect much as she was not entirely legally related to them, as well.
It was just for the sake of it.
Much like asking about her favourite pizza flavour only to order the most disliked one.
Raven knew Catherine treated her more like a nemesis.
While Catherine's father, Rupart Schmidt, was just one oblivious fool. Not even noticing that Raven always gave a disgruntled sigh everytime he called. Again. Just for the sake of it.
But that was not even miles near the end to her peace because of Catherine's step-brother, a.k.a The Biggest Mistake On Earth and a name not even half fitting his personality... Benedict Schmidt.
"Fancy names and dumb brains." Whispered out Raven as she took a reluctant bite of her Pineapple Pizza.
Way to waste an evening.
"Did you say something?" Asked her sister's blue breezy eyes. Always venomous for her. Green poison floating inside that hazy blue.
Shaking her head in a 'no', the older continued eating in silence while the table erupted in laughter at her step-brother's 'tattletales of sex'.
