Chelsea's POV:
Klaus has been extremely salty ever since he discovered how I've been on vervain. I was vervain-less when I was compelled to live with him, so I am still stuck here, spending my days searching for loop holes at any given time.
But with me being uncompellable for the next few days, Klaus has been watching my every move. Wherever he goes in the house, I apparently have to go as well, even if it means he carries me the entire way there.
I sit on the couch groaning in boredom before tossing my head back, "There is nothing to do here." I complain, closing my eyes in frustration.
I hear Klaus sigh and put his paintbrush down, and then footsteps entering the room.
"Ah the boredom continues." Eljiah teases, while taking a seat next to me with a goofy but warm smile.
"Well as amusing as you find it, Elijah, I find it extremely obnoxious." I say, "I'm going to see if Rebekah can entertain me."
Klaus's POV:
I watch as Chelsea saunters off towards the staircase and I let out another exasperated sigh. I have made no progress with her in the slightness and I'm growing tired with her stubbornness. But the fire inside her keeps me forever captivated by her.
"C'mon Klaus, you cannot keep this girl locked up in the same building for days on end. Take her out, entertain her, woo her if that is what you truly care about." Elijah lectures.
"There is no way that she is to be trusted if we leave this house, you know she will run."
"Then make a deal with her," Elijah suggests, "take her out and enjoy the day, and if all goes well then allow her to meet up with a friend... perhaps Damon," Elijah teases, causing me to snap my paint brush in two and place one end in his gut.
"Do not mention that moron, he has no business with Chelsea now nor will he ever in the future," I growl, before pulling out the wood and tossing it across the room, angrily scratching my head.
"Then again Elijah you bring up a good point. Perhaps if I entice her to spend time with me she will grow to care for me as well." I admit.
"As long as you keep your temper in line, brother, I'm sure she will be all for a day out." Elijah says as I walk out the door towards Chelsea's room
Chelsea's POV:
Klaus insists that I take one day to wander around Mystic Falls for a change. He is currently still lecturing me about straying away from him, but I am less likely to run away tonight because of the fact that he is allowing me to have Elena and Bonnie over if I do behave.
Elena and Bonnie were thrilled to hear that I could at least socialize for the night with them, and I knew that Klaus was listening in so I also tried to hint that we were eating out for lunch, in the most obvious place in town: The Grill. That way I could possibly see them earlier.
God it feels like Klaus is more of a father than a housemate, but it will have to do for now because I am dying to see some of my friends.
I walk downstairs searching for Klaus and see him leaning against the door frame as he smirks up at me.
"Looking ravishing as always," Klaus says, before grasping my hand and leading me towards his car. I try to shake him off, but he only gives me a light growl in response, enough to make me both roll my eyes and become a bit intimidated.
It's awkwardly tense in the car and I immediately regret agreeing to go on this trip with him. He keeps glancing my way but I keep forward and don't acknowledge him, which only makes him grind his teeth in frustration.
