Chelsea's POV:

After a long drive from the suburbs of Chicago to Mystic Falls, I was finally able to parallel park and sigh with relief.  This day could not have been any longer and I desperately needed to stretch my legs.  I figure that since my first day of work is in two days, I have tonight to relax and tomorrow to unpack and prepare for my new start.

Locking my car and paying the meter, I walk towards The Grill and head straight towards the bar.  I'm only 18 but I've always looked older so getting a fake ID was a huge helper.  With a push of cleavage I grab a seat and smirk as a blonde bartender walks towards me for my order.

"HI there, what can I get you?" He smiled warmly.

"2 tequila shots and a rum and coke on the rocks please, hmm, Matt, is it?" I ask with a smile.  He's really cute and seems to actually be a smalltown cutie.

"Yea I'm Matt, but policy asks for a ID first"  I hand mine to him with ease, and he takes a second glance, but finally gives in and goes to grab my drinks.  "So you new here?  Not that you look different, you just aren't one of the regulars here."

"Yep, I just arrived today.  My names Chelsea, I actually just got job here waitressing starting Friday."

"Oh no way!  Management just told me today that they needed me to train a newbie this week, pleasure to meet you," he says.  What a sweet guy, maybe not my type to date but certainly someone I'd want to be friends with here.  Maybe a smalltown waitress job won't be as awful as I thought.

"So how is it working here?  Are the drunks obnoxious or is it more entertaining?"

Matt chuckles at my joke and nods his head towards the other end of the stools across from me.  "Those guys over there are just a few of the regulars.  They're... different I guess.  I wouldn't suggest being friends with them, but they can certainly hold there liquor.  There won't be a day they turn down some Bourbon."

As if they could hear Matt from across the stools, one of them turns around and glances first at Matt, then at me, before smirking and heading towards us.  "Now who may be this underage lady chatting up the bartender who should refill my bourbon just about now..?"  I can practically cut the tension with a knife when Matt sends a swift glare at this mystery man in leather and goes to refill his drink, leaving me alone with this rando.

"I'm Damon, and you must be new? Do you normally fall for the football players this quickly or is it just cause Matt's eyes are oh so dreamy," he chatters in a fake girly voice before forming that sexy... oh my gosh no not sexy, annoying little smirk of his towards me again.

"Believe it or not I was speaking to him because he's... oh what's the word... maybe kind?  And he doesn't wear tacky leather from head to toe like someone.  If I did want to meet a tool on my first night in Mystic Falls, though, I would have head straight towards you."  I sneer as I swiftly get up, hand Matt my bill with a generous tip, and not waste a moment before walking straight past Damon and out the door.

What a idiot for thinking he could talk to me like that.  If all the men here are like him then I certainly won't be finding any boyfriends in my near future, but maybe that's what I need, a break.  As I reach for my Jeep's car handle I hear someone calling, "Uh Chelsea? Chelsea?"

I turn around and see the other man that was sitting with Damon.  He has brown hair compared to Damon's harsh black, and he wears a sheepish smile on his face when he walks towards me gently.

"I want to apologize for my brother's behavior.  He tends to be, well, Damon.  You'll have enough of him within a week of working at The Grill, but don't let him cause you too much trouble."

I chuckle and his comments and realized that I haven't even gotten his name. "Well thanks for the warning.. you said he was your brother?"

"Oh yea sorry, I'm Stefan Salvatore, Damon's brother.  We hang by The Grill a lot with our friends, if you want we can meet for lunch tomorrow and you can meet them all?  I promise Damon will be on his best behavior, even if I have to snap his neck beforehand."

I could hardly hear the last part he muttered but brushed it off.  "That sounds great, thanks Stefan.  I'm going to go unpack and check out my new place, but I'll see you around tomorrow?" I saw with a smile.

"See you then," he gestures goodbye with a wave and I jump back into my car.

Well that was nice, who knew a smalltown had so many different people.  I drive to my fancy new loft that wasn't so fancy and plop myself straight onto the bed to sleep.  I really hope I made the right choice to live here, I can't deal with another change in plans.
