Part 3 Chapter 1: Nightmares

Minho and Joanna took a break from running in the maze and sat down at the start of sector 3. They was eating a sandwich Fry had prepared them and drank some water.

"Do you ever think we will find a way out?" Minho turned to Joanna.

"We still have the East, outer side of the Maze to explore, maybe it will be there?" Joanna looked at him. "We will find one."

"What happens if we don't all make it?" Minho frowned.

"Hey, listen." Joanna scooted closer to him, "We have already lost some boys and yeah maybe we won't all make it. But I know one think for sure. If I am making it, so will you." Joanna smiled at him, "I will never leave you behind."

"I would never leave you behind either, Joey." Minho smiled at her.

Joanna woke up, tears in her eyes. They had finally managed to pick up some intel on the airwaves. Wicked was moving the kids on a train and this was their only shot at getting Minho and Aris back.
She started to get ready, tying her hair in a high pony and put on some warm but loose clothes.

"Knock, Knock." She heard Thomas whisper.

"Come in!" Joanna called and Thomas walked into her tent.

"Hey!" Thomas smiled at her.

"Hey, you okay?" Joanna asked him.

She caught Thomas staring as she was putting on her bandana mask.

"Everything okay?" She asked again, getting closer to him.

"Er... yeah..." He stuttered, getting brought back to reality, "I just came to tell you that we are leaving in ten. Vince wants to talk to you."

"Doesn't sound good!" Joanna joked.

Thomas laughed nervously.

"Seriously, what's up?" Joanna asked him, looking concerned.

"I.. I still get nightmares." Thomas whispered, "About what happened."

"Me too. I can't believe Teresa betrayed us like that and Minho..." Joanna stopped after saying his name.

"Hey..." Thomas whispered and pulled her into a hug.

"If anything happens to him, I don't know what I would do. I don't know what I would do if something happened to Newt... or you." Joanna cried out.

"Nothings going to happen, okay? We will get Minho back and we will go as far away from Wicked as we can. They won't be able to hurt us anymore." Thomas promised her. She nodded, "Right, go see Vince."

Joanna jogged over to where Vince was stood, "What's up, Vin?"

"Hey princess, listen. We are already late, I have one question." Vince smirked at her.

"Yes?" Joanna tilted her head.

"You will be riding along side Thomas and I... in this." He turned his body to show her the dirt bike motorcycle that he taught her how to ride.

"Oh yeah!" Joanna exclaimed. "See if you guys can keep up!"

She quickly jumped on and put on her black helmet. She turned on the engine and listened to the rumble. Vince smiled at her as he and Thomas hopped in the car. Joanna watched them get buckled up. Without warning, she sped off. Vince was close behind her.

"They're late." Jorge sighed as he put away his pocket watch.

Jorge and Brenda was sat in Bertha, which they had Crank proofed. Brenda didn't respond. They was about to keep waiting when they heard the train start to come by them.
