"Girl you gotta come, this party gone be lit!" My best friend said cheesing.
"Girl I don't know, where this party gone be at?" I said leaning on my locker.
"I heard it's on Jett Street across town." She said seriously.
"Oh hell no, you trynna get me shot? My parents would kill me if I went over there!" I said looking at her like she had grown another head.
"Girl I'm just playing, it's somewhere near BrookHaven I think." She said looking at her gold iPhone 6.
Katrina's parents were rich as well, her family owns a lot of real estate in the Downtown Atlanta area. That's how we met, at a dinner party some time back to discuss some business, we were the only normal teenagers there so we immediately clicked. From then on we've been best friends, practically sisters.
"Oh ok, I might be able to go if my parents know I'm going with you." I said chuckling.
"Why they gotta know you going with me?" She said closing her locker.
I gave her that "really nigga" look.
"What?" She said laughing.
"You are literally the perfect little angel in their eyes." I said rolling my eyes.
"Well I am perfect, if I do say so myself." She said putting her shades on her face.
"Girl you so corny." I said playfully pushing her.
"Girl we need to go before we be late." She said laughing while grabbing my arm leading me down the busy hallway.
We slipped quickly into the back of Mr.Manion's class before he noticed that we were slightly late. He didn't care if you were 1 minute late, to him you were about an hour late. He turned around welcoming us with a huge stack of papers in his hand. I rolled my eyes at the thought of another test.
"So as you all know, our final test is today." He said slowly walking around.
"I hope you all studied because if you didn't study there's a slight chance that you will past this test." He said stopping at my desk.
I rolled my eyes and slumped in my seat, I didn't study at all because I was up all night on Wattpad. I couldn't help it, "One in a Milyon" was just too good of a book to stop reading. He continued to walk.
"All desks clear." He said
There was some shuffling as everyone cleared their desks off to prepare for the test. I was definitely not prepared for this test but I still had to take it.*2 Hours Later*
We headed down to lunch and sat at our usual table by the window.
Me and Katrina were apart of the "popular" kids but we didn't really like it, we didn't sit with the other popular kids because there was just simply too much drama. We usually just sat with the regulars, Tinashe, Rico, and Crystal.
"Wassup y'all." Rico said smiling and taking a seat.
Now I'll admit it, I had the hugest crush on Rico our freshman year but who wouldn't? He was half Puerto Rican and half black, had black curly hair which was freshly lined up almost every week, muscles for days but not too muscular, and stood around 6'1. Those feelings eventually went away as we became closer, he was more like a brother to me now and I refused to mess up our relationship.
"Wassup" we responded in union.
"So y'all going to that party on Friday?" Crystal said.
"Girl yes you know Imma slide through." Katrina said.
Katrina was completely different from her parents, they were quiet and conserved while she was wild and outgoing. You'd probably not believe that she was their daughter until you had a couple of DNA tests in front of you. She did kind of resemble her father, she had long wavy brown hair, hazel eyes, and dimples to die for. She stood around 5'9 with B-cup breasts, a perky round booty. All the boys chased her but she didn't care because she still missed her ex Makhi. Makhi was a player and had literally all the girls falling to his feet but he "claimed" he wasn't worried bout em'. That's the reason they broke up, he had too many hoes but that's none of my business.
"What about you?" Crystal said directing her attention towards me.
"Oh uh, I might come y'all know how my parents are." I said snapping out of my thoughts.
"Just tell them you going with Katrina." Rico chuckled.
"Why y'all keep saying that?" Katrina said smacking her lips.
We all gave her that "really nigga" look.
