Floor 4 : doppelganger

"You don't understand! Why did it have to be jungwon!" ni-ki panicked as he and the others stood in front of the empty elevator "we didn't know jungwon would volunteer alright!" heeseung also panicked

"y/n are you alright?" sunoo worriedly asked as he approached the girl "no.. You guys won't understand out of all of us jungwon needs to be kept an eye on" she shakily spoke "I'm sure he'll be fine 3 floor is the easiest" jake spoke calming her down

*ding*

Jungwon slowly stepped out the elevator "did they.." he whispered to himself as he looks around with a mix of fear and saddened feeling thinking they had left him due to the silent halls

"we can't meet him at the elevator?" jay asked his voice turning quiet "no but we will meet him around the halls but the problem-" ni-ki couldn't finish "then we look for him around here if he'll magically spawn around a random area" sunghoon interrupts "We can't! Fourth floor are full of doppelgangers of us!" ni-ki raises his voice to make the others listen

The others froze

"I'm telling you all now! Once we walk away from this elevator trust no one this hallway is full of mind games it can bring you anywhere.. Even if we stick together, we will communicate once we get to the fifth floor" ni-ki starts as everyone nods at him "for a heads up, the fifth floor is a maze so expect the hallways to be messier, expect dead ends that were never there, expect the school to be bigger" ni-ki explains "there are no doppelgangers there so if we run into each other don't run away" he finishes "it is possible to run into jungwon in this floor but.. It will be risky"

Jake nods in agreement "let's.. All be safe.. Please be alive and well when we meet in the fifth floor" jake softly spoke

"don't let the doppelgangers deceive you"

The hallway was quiet, though the group was together, no one was speaking to each other

Jay being at the very back, he kept an eye on everyone

"jay" someone whispered

He turned around

No one

But once he turned to look ahead once again he froze

No one..

He suddenly heard fast footsteps behind him followed by a screech

"oh man" he whispered

*thud*

Jake flinched at the echoing thud from afar, he covered his ears in fear as he continued walking

Sunghoon noticed jake walk ahead even though the others were already turning to another direction

"yah! Jake!" he calls but the boy continued walking with his hands on his ears, he blinks rapidly trying to see through the dark

"YAH!"

jake turns to the echoing voice, he froze when he saw no one

Sunghoon grumbled when he saw jake slowly turn around

Sunghoon turns to look where the group was suppose to be but froze when he saw no one

*crack*

He looks back at jake when he heard bones cracking and before he knew it jake screeched before dashing towards him

Y/n only kept walking but she knew they were slowly decreasing

She tries to calm down but with a blink of an eye

The people around her was gone

"pst"

She turns around and saw ni-ki standing at the end of the hallway, she already knew this was a doppelganger as she slowly back away "you don't think I'm a doppelganger now?" ni-ki spoke in pain as he watched the girl back away from him "no, i just followed what you said to not trust anybody" she replied with a fake laugh "what a good lady you are then" he replied before running with speed towards the girl
