she cried

She cried as she curled herself up on the park bench with her bag with her whole life in it, what was she going to do?

It had been a week since Hayun was forced to move out of her house, her father died a month ago. Leaving her with nobody, and no way of income either. She had been staying at a cheap hotel for the past week until she ran out of money.

She decided to walk to the park, which didn't close until very late and just decided to sit there and cry. She had nobody. And what was worse?
Nobody knew what she was going through.
How come? She didn't want to be a burden to her friends, she knew how much they had going on in their lives and their parents wouldn't appreciate a new person in their household.

Except him.

He had seen her walk past the convenience store when his shift ended. He didn't know her very well, neither did she. But they knew of each other. He didn't take much notice of it and just started to head home, he took his usual route through the park but stopped.

He saw her again, but this time. She was looking up at the sky on one of the benches

"Hayun? Is that you?" he hesitantly asked the girl who was curled up on the bench, her eyes were glassy as they reflected the dark blue colour of the sky

She looked up at him in fear, she didn't think that out of all the people she could've bumped into today. It was going to be Yang Jungwon, the captain of the boy's football team.

She didn't dare to answer him. She didn't want anybody to see her weak side, to even see that she was homeless. She then lowered her head and looked at the floor.

"What's wrong?" he asked as he bent down slightly to try and look into her eyes, she was tired.

Then, she broke.

The tears that were already forming in her eyes when she first saw him now fell. And she cried.

Her breath hitched as she felt something,
his embrace.
She barely knew Jungwon and yet, she still let him do this.

She cursed at herself mentally for letting her guard down but, she had never needed something like this more than ever.

His embrace around her was warm, and his thick winter coat wrapped around her. She sobbed into his embrace, feeling comfort.

She felt like she could stay there forever.

After a few minutes, she gently pulled away from him and he sat down next to her.

JUNGWON'S POV

"I'm.. homeless." She said while laughing at herself, you could tell it was a fake laugh and that she was trying to brighten up her situation

I thought that she was living with her dad. I quickly pondered on the thought until I realised that she needed somewhere to stay. I can't just let her freeze to death on a cold winter day.
