I'm really excited about this one. Hope you like it!

----------------------------------------------------------

It was almost dawn by the time they have cleared out the keep and Fenrys wanted nothing more than to get some much needed rest. He was exhausted and he honestly hoped that the fighting they did today, would let him sleep peacefully for once.

"Are we good to go back?" He asked Finnick, the general of the unit. He had spent the last few days mostly with the man and his soldiers, given that Ramiel and Dorian seemed to be fucking inseparable these days. It pissed him off to no end. He knew that they were supposed to be friends, but ever since that day when they had spent hours on that rooftop in Rifthold, he couldn't get her out of his head. But he knew he was in no position to make any demands of her. Ramiel was her own person, capable of making her own choices. And it seemed like he wasn't her first choice. Not that he could blame her.

He shook his head slightly, chasing away those thoughts. He had spent enough time this week thinking about Ramiel.

"Sorry Fenrys, but we still have to wait." Finnick's voice reached his ears, making his head snap towards the general. The man's expression told him that something was wrong. A moment later his words confirmed it. "The King and the Princess still didn't come back. They should be here already."

His heart skipped a beat in his chest at Finnick's words. Fenrys didn't even notice that those two were still gone. He knew they went looking for that sword, but that was almost two hours ago. He didn't want to consider that something could've actually happened to them.

He knew he acted petty towards Ramiel those last few days, but he still fucking cared about her. The only reason why he kept his distance was the hope that his feelings towards her would vanish. Because yes, he had feelings for her. He could at least admit that much to himself.

"Fenrys!" Dorian's panicked voice reached his ears, making his head whip around. The King was walking towards them quickly, breathing heavily, a long sword strapped across his back. But that wasn't what almost made Fenrys' knees buckle. There, in Dorian's arms, was Ramiel, her features pale, her body limp and covered in blood.

He didn't think twice before breaking into a sprint towards them. Dorian slid to the ground, as if he was too tired to keep going, gently holding Ramiel to his chest. Fenrys skidded to a halt before them and dropped to his knees, his heart hammering like it was about to jump out of his chest.

No.

No. No. No.

She couldn't be dead.

Fenrys gathered Ramiel's limp body into his arms, as he felt tears gathering in his eyes. Raw pain squeezed his chest, almost making it impossible for him to breathe. Regret washed over him all at once. He should've been there. He should've protected her.

But there it was.

A quiet, raspy breath left her lips, making his heart skip a beat.

"She has been hit in the shoulder with a poisoned dagger." Dorian's voice made his head snap up, even though his arms tightened around Ramiel. The King took a deep breath, before speaking up again. "She said that she will heal. But that wound needs to be treated."

Fenrys didn't bother to reply to that statement, instead getting up and breaking into a run towards their camp. He still held Ramiel carefully, glancing at her pale features every few seconds.

He made it to the camp in no time and aimed straight for his tent. He didn't have time to go back and forth with medical supplies. He laid Ramiel down carefully, before jumping up to rummage through his pack. Just as he was finishing getting out his supplies, he heard the sound of hooves approaching. A moment later, Dorian burst into his tent, a young female on his heels.
