Chapter 2

I was getting dressed into my uniform. ugh, why do I have to wear this? it's annoying...

I walked downstairs to see pops reading the news, and grams making eggs and bacon. "hmmm, smells delicious gram!" I called from the bottom of the stairs.

I walked to the table and started eating my breakfast. "mmm, always the best grams." I smiled at her and she smiled back. "oh, gotta go so tony isn't late for school!" I kissed grams on the cheek and said good bye to pops.

I ran outside just as tony was pulling in. perfect timing. I thought.
"Hey." I said hopping In the passenger seat. "Good morning."

Tony has been my best friend since as long as I could talk. we've been neighbors since, forever. our parents were good friends.

We arrived at school with 15 minutes before school started.

"Hey, can I talk to you?" I looked over at tony. "yeah, what's up?" he looked nervous. "uh, let's go out to the picnic tables." I nodded and hopped out of the car.

We sat down. "what's up?" he looked at me. "I wanted to ask you-" "Carlie!!!!!! eeeeek!" my best friend Lela interrupted. I heard tony let out a held in breath. what's going on with him this morning? I wondered.

"Hey! you didn't text or call me at all last night!!!" I rolled my eyes at her. "well maybe that's because you talked my ears off until they ran away to Antarctica so they wouldn't have to hear one more second of your mall adventures..." I mumbled to myself. Tony heard an I heard him laughing.

Lela glared at him, and he quickly covered his laughter with a cough.

I giggled silently. Lela turned back to me. "so, plans Friday? cuz I wanna take you shopping!!! we have Friday off." She looked at me hopefully.

"uh, no, sorry, can't come. I have plans with, with tony. yeah, we're having a little movie night thing. just the two of us." I looked over at Tony with hopeful eyes. he was wide eyes like a deer in head lights. come on Tony! please!!!

"Uh, yeah. that's right. we're having a movie night." I was so relieved that he just did that for me. "aw, can I join?" she asked. "no! were having a horror movie marathon. and I know how much you hate horror movies Lela." her eyes got big. "yeah, ill just go shopping." she nodded.

"so, you guys going to the movies on a date, eh?" I heard Lela whisper to Tony.

we were walking to our classes and I was in front of them. I to to my locker and turned around to see Tony with a bright red face and getting nudged by an over-excited Lela.

He was mumbling to her to shut up. I don't know what's going on with him. I shrugged it off and got my folders all sorted out for the day.

"See ya guys!" I called after them as the bell rang. they said their farewells and we went to our separate directions.

The day went slow. but it finally came to an end. I was happy that It was over. I just wanted to sleep... so when I got home, I went straight up stairs, and jumped on my bed. (more like collapsed on it...) and sleep took over.
