Ariel's P.O.V
I wake up and look at the calendar with excitement. It's June 13th, me and my sisters 13th birthday!!! I rush out of bed to go wake up my sister, Isabella who was sound asleep in her room. "Wake up!!!" I yelled at my sister as I rushed into her room. "We're officially teenagers now!!" "Five more minutes," she mumbled. "Fine I guess", I grumbled. I waited patiently for Isabella to come in the living room so we can open our birthday presents with Mom and our step-dad, David.
When everyone was in the living room and had our birthday breakfasts, we tore open our first present which was beautiful dolphin necklaces. "David can you please go get the rest of the presents from our room? I need to talk to the girls," Mom said. "Sure thing honey,"he said.
"I want to talk about your biological father," Mom said. "He is a Greek god named Poseidon." Mom said. "You're joking right? Right???!!!" Isabella said. "Unfortunately I'm not joking girls," she replied. "So let me get this straight, our dad is not only a Greek god, but he's one of the big three?!" I yelled.
"Yes, he is very important to the Greek gods that live on Mount Olympus," Mom said. "That's why I'm sending you and Isabella to a camp for the kids of other Greek gods instead of the beach like we usually do." She said. "You girls will love it at Camp Half-Blood. You're going in two days I'll drive you and your sister since we don't live far away from it."
A few days later......
"Here we are, Camp Half-Blood." Mom said as we pull up to a small hill and at the top was a huge pine tree. "I can't wait to meet our siblings!" I said happily as we got our backpacks out of the trunk.
I don't know about this Mom," Isabella said with a little fear. "You'll like this place I promise," Mom said to reassure Isabella."I can't go in I'm not a child of a god," Mom said sadly, " I'm going to miss you two very much."
We said our goodbyes and walked up the hill.
