My mind was racing as I straightened my hair. Roman had been gone on a business trip for two days now and wouldn't be back until this Sunday night and Rosa's principle had called and asked for a private meeting. I hope all was well and Rosa was doing everything she was suppose to be doing. I had dressed in a casual yellow summer dress and grabbed a light sweater just incase it were cold in the building.

I made my way to my car and checked my phone, I was suppose to meet an old friend from high school today and I didn't want to be late for that either. I thought about calling her and pushing back the time but I retracted the action; I would call later if I had to.

I started my car and eased out onto the street to make my way to the school. "Please don't let Rosa be in any form of trouble, we just got here." I silently prayed and sped down the street.

I sat in the office waiting for the principle to get out of another meeting. I intertwined my fingers together and waited patently in front of the secretary. She was a heavier woman with short blonde hair and glasses that seemed too small for her round face. She pounded away at her keyboard with impressive speed and complete dedication, only looking up when someone entered the office.

I looked at the time on my phone, 12:32, I could definitely make it. Our lunch was at 1:30 and it only took me ten minutes from here to the little restaurant that we decided to eat at and if not I would text her that I would be a tad late.

"Mrs. De Silva?" I young woman stepped out from behind a wooden door, was this the principle, it couldn't be. The young girl looked to be maybe fourteen.

I rose and walk towards her, "Hello," I said eyeing the young woman.

"Mrs. Morgue's office is the second on the left", the young girl smiled and closed the door behind us.

I said my thanks and made my way down to the door.

"Jas?" A deep voice startled me a little as I was about to knock on the door.

I swiveled around to come face to face with tired blue orbs. Dalton.

"Dalton." I beamed and took a step towards him forgetting about my meeting with the principle for just a moment. "What are you doing around these parts?" I questioned while taking him in. He looked unbelievably worn out. His eyes screamed for sleep and his broad shoulders that always stood tall and strong seemed to slouch.

"Yeah, I'm here for Ide. He got into a fight today with another kid." Dalton looked to be deep in his thoughts as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Oh my, are they both okay?" I questioned a little shocked, I pray to God Rosa is not apart of this.

"Yeah, they are both are fine. Just a little elementary school tussle you know how young boys are." Dalton said shaking his head.

I said a silent thank you and looked Dalton in the eyes, "How are you?" I questioned genuinely concerned about him.

"I'm doing good, tired, but good." Dalton breathed out and shot me a lazy smile.

"Yeah, I can see. No offense but you look.. Well you aren't in your usual physique." I said trying to be polite as possible.

Dalton only chuckled, "Yeah, it has been a rough go around since the last I saw you. Work and home are-" Dalton pause and again I caught him eyeing me up and down. When we were kids I use to love seeing him steal glance at me but now I felt it to be extremely inappropriate.

"Dalton-"

"Umm, yeah, so what are you here for?" Dalton cut me off and shot me a small smile.
