Rosa fiddled with the present as I hurried around the kitchen getting the house in order before we leave.

"Do you think he will even like it, I mean he probably has a million footballs already."Rosa picked at the bow on top of the wrapped gift.

"It will be fine, presents are presents and he should be thankful for them no matter if he has a billion of them already." I said checking to make sure the stove was off before shuffling Rosa out the door.

"Why are we rushing?" She asked annoyance clear in her voice.

"Because it isn't good to be late Rosa."

Rosa huffed and got into the front seat of the car.

"Rosebud we talked about this, you are not eight yet you can't sit in the front with me. You have to sit in your car seat in the back."

"Mom please just let me ride in the front once. I want to look cool."

"Life isn't all about image Rosa, the best thing you can do is keep people guessing. Don't let people know what is going on in your life and let their opinions effect you."

"...Please Mom?"

I sighed, she'll understand one day. "Fine, but we are not going to make this a habit." I said starting the very hot car.

"Thank you." Rosa said sitting back and enjoying her ride around the corner.

We arrived at the gates of the Penn's home and I presented the invitation to the gate guard who, after inspecting the birthday invite a little to seriously, let us in. Rosa nodded her head in approval.

"This place isn't too shabby."

I chuckled, "Yeah I guess this is an alright place to live if your into this sort of thing."

I parked in the massive driveway and we walked up to the front door, Rosa with the present in hand.

"Where is this place again?" Rosa asked looking around impressed.

"Lagorce Circle is the street name."

We walked through the front doors which were already wide open welcoming guess and Rosa placed her present along with the plethora of other presents.

"Woah!" Rosa exclaimed almost speechless as we walked outside to where the children were playing. Some were swimming in the pool and others were enjoying the bouncy house or food.

Rosa took off to join her peers and I watched her with her friends.

"Hey Jasmine." I turned to see Karen Roland approaching me with a mojito.

"Nice place huh? It's amazing what prosperity a natural resource like water can bring people." Karen said unto me while sipping her mojito. "Gosh, Jas these are to die for, you have to go and get one immediately. The young man making the drinks is one hell of a looker too."

I giggled, "Karen are you drunk?" I shook my head, at a kids party and still acting up.

Karen smiled sheepishly at me, "Not yet, but by the next one I will be."

"Okay, no more for you." I said taking the drink from her and she giggled.

"At least finish it for me."

"And you know I can't, I'm driving later."

"You have to get a driver, it is so much easier." Karen swung her arms around my waist and rested her face in the crook of my neck, her short brown hair tickling my nose.
