Paxton was practicing his spells in the bathroom when Nathaniel entered. Paxton froze and glared at him.

"What?" Nathaniel asked a bit too dramatic. "Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I'm a pervert. And you ain't my type."

Paxton still held his glare. "This is not your bathroom. We don't share a bathroom."

"My gosh, how I hate disorganized arrangements," Nathaniel said to himself. "Harry asked me to switch with him. For whatever reason he can't stand you, it must be strong. You guys had such a strong bromance. I was envious."

Paxton's scowl stiffened. He can't be serious, he thought. Over some girl?! That telepathic vampire has lost it.

He stared at Nathaniel in disgust. "Do you even want to shower?"

"Why else would I be in the bathroom?" Nathaniel sassed. "I thought I didn't like Harold but I dislike you more."

Laser glare. If looks could kill, Nathaniel would have disintegrated.

"Let me tell you something, Lynx. You might be top-notch and whatnot in the academy, perhaps the universe too, but my world doesn't revolve around you."

"And try to keep it that way." Paxton threatened.

That vampire would pay, Paxton thought. He continued with his humidity spell. He wasted to focus the humidity in an enclosed space in the bathroom atmosphere.

It was time for dinner. The hall was surprisingly almost scanty. The Werewolves had the largest population.

"I wonder if everyone had a big lunch?" Raven heard a voice behind her. It was the reaper, and surprisingly, he was wearing brown and blue sweatpants and a shirt.

"Hi, Raven. How are you doing?" he walked up to her.

"I'm fine," she said briefly.

"Okay," Al drawled. He reminded himself she doesn't talk much. So there was no need for alarm. "That's good to hear." he continued. "So, how was your day?"

"The same," Raven replied. Aadil chuckled.

He noticed she served herself a single human heart, and she picked a bottle of holy water.

"That must have been boring," he said, serving himself graciously. People didn't come to dinner; he couldn't let the food waste.

Raven left him to go sit at her usual table. Al followed, seeing Raven didn't bother.

"I see you are not hungry yourself," Al said.

"Mhm-mm,"

"What's his problem?" asked Tendril. "Hasn't he heard of table manners? Don't talk while eating? Sheesh."

Raven ignored him with a smile.

"So," Al cleared his throat, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. Raven wondered what the issue could be. "I've been wanting to ask, what do you do for fun?"

Raven arched a brow even though he couldn't see it. He couldn't see her face which made reading her expression, and everything he planned to happen between them hard for him. He couldn't even enter her mind to read her thoughts.

"Anything I do is fun."

Why are you so cryptic? Al whined. He was lucky the girl sitting opposite him had decided to respect his privacy. Raven had decided to leave him to his thoughts and let him surprise her— against Tendril's will.

"Alright. Do you mind if we have fun tomorrow?"

Awkward pause.

"Um...," Al nervously chuckled going through what he just said in his head. It sounded so Mr. Grundy. "I'm sorry. I meant if we can hang out tomorrow? And have plain fun, no strings attached."
