"You can't be serious, Paxton." Talia spat. It was in the middle of the woods, where she and Paxton were taking an evening stroll to discuss serious matters.

"Kindly lower your voice, Tally, please." Paxton hushed.

"I can't do that, Pax. I can't jeopardize long-term bonds just like that. Rethink your decision,"

"I already have, and there's no other way. Besides, the main reason you don't want to do this is because you have a crush on Harold. What happened to waiting for your mate?"

"You are a hypocrite, Paxton," Talia said icily. "And I am waiting for my mate. I can't jeopardize a good friendship. If you were such a man, go talk to Harold. Man to man. Don't disturb me," she shifted into her white wolf and sprinted off.

Paxton sighed at her departure. He was angry at his best friend for not supporting him and then insulting him in the process. But he let it slide since he still had the upper hand.

Talia was secretly smut, and only he knew. Even she did not know that he knew her deepest secret. But he wouldn't destroy their friendship...yet. Besides, he is yet to understand her point of view. Talia was an invaluable and special person. He had to think it through.

His phone rang in his pocket. Samantha blared on the caller ID. He inwardly smirked, as he picked up.

"Hello Paxy," she greeted in a very husky and sultry voice. "I'm all alone. Wanna come over, and practice some spells? I've been practicing on my own and I'm very confident I can dominate you,"

Paxton could hear her grin over the phone. "Very cocky, are you?" he played along.

"I'm expecting yours. So, are you coming or not?"

With that, he hung up, and in a jiffy, he was in her room. Samantha was laying on her bed, dressed in nothing but a lace lingerie set. And Paxton was visibly ready for her.

"That was fast, but this is not a quickie," she said, closing the space between them, in a swift, sensual kiss.

It was a Saturday morning. The students in the Academy were subjected to a general clean-up as early as 6 am. As fate had it, Desiree, Raven, Rihanna, and Jason, a male Fairy were assigned the same portion. Jason noticed the beautiful female Dragon, cussing at the mass animal droppings which she had to clean.

"I can help with that," said Jason, sprinkling fairy dust on the animal feces and it turned to sand. "You don't have to do anything about it now,"

"I guess so," Desiree said, still glaring at it. Jason laughed at the scene.

"You know, it's harmless," he said in amusement.

Desiree eyed him casually. "I guess I'm supposed to say thank you?"

"You are welcome," Jason acknowledged with a smile. "I'm done with my portion, and so are you obviously, wanna go get breakfast?"

"Um...," Desiree trailed, stealing glances at Raven who busied herself with the fallen leaves, sticks, and debris on the walking path of her portion. Then at Rihanna who was incinerating away her gathered rubbish, with her demon flame. "Yeah, sure. See you, Riri."

A glance at them and she understood the situation. "Later, snitch." she joked. They were gone. Raven was done and gone too.

Raven had purposely distanced herself away from the two fire-wielders. She was still yet to find out the identity of her attackers, and at this point, she trusted no one. It was not safe.

"Breakfast wasn't prepared? How cruel," Tendril hissed.

Raven sighted the locked general dining hall too late. She'd already gotten there. People were cleaning up the area.
