By the time I changed into my uniform, placed the excess ones back in the room, and made it back to the class, the bell went off. I was right outside the door when it happened. Mrs. Thomas gave me a tight smile before going out.

There it went.

On my very first day, I ended up missing the very first class. Way to make a bad impression!

Throwing my hands in the air, I pulled out my schedule to check which subject was next.

History. Fantastic!

Now, I will be sleeping in the very next class at the start of the day!

I do have to admit, my day has had an amazing start... Kill me now instead, please!

I headed towards the next class that was supposed to be a floor above. The other students chatted and joked while moving around the corridor.

I found Mariana rolling her eyes at something that a bunch of boys was telling her before pushing him away playfully.

The four boys laughed in amusement making Mariana shake her head yet there was a smile on her face.

I had something similar a few months ago.

The feeling of being surrounded by people you adored and who reciprocated your feelings, I missed it. I would do anything to have it again.

If only that accident hadn't happened...

"Evera!" The sound of my name being called broke me out of my thoughts.

Mariana came hopping in my direction with a warm smile and asked, "How was your first period?"

I sighed pursing my lips before saying, "I would tell if I had attended."

"What? What happened?" Mariana frowned.

"Mrs. Thomas needed me in uniform without which I couldn't understand what she taught," I shrugged giving her a sarcastic smile.

She leaned in as she replied, "I swear! These people make such an issue for not following the dress code."

"Ana-banana, who's this?" The boys she had previously been talking to joined us.

The two on the left seemed like twins but one of them was slightly chubbier than the other who had glasses. Both of them had chocolate hair and tanned skin with honey eyes. Their heights were similar just the build differed. The one wearing glasses was leaner with messy curls than his brother who seemed like a jock who had side-swept his hair.

The two guys on the right however were contrasting images of each other. The taller guy was dark-skinned and green-eyed with a nest of curly dark hair sitting on his head. The hair tie was merely able to keep those unruly bunch of springs in check.

The guy beside him was the shortest of them all. He might even be an inch or two shorter than me. With platinum blond hair and pale skin, the only dark thing he had on his face were a pair of brown eyes.

"Guys this is Evera Davis, Evera these are the guys. The shorty over there is Killian James Canford, next to him is Paul Bastian Coleman, this side is twins Elijah Finn Richards with the glasses and Isaiah Liam Richards his brother," Mariana introduced us as I waved at them in greeting.

"Ohhh! She's a red tag," Paul excitedly pointed out the one thing I was desperately trying to hide with my books.

The lips of the other boys formed an 'o' while Elijah's mouth dropped open.

"What did you do to have a red tag?" Isaiah grinned goofily as he wriggled his eyebrows at me.

"Yeah, do tell. It's rare to have new red tags around here," Killian grinned rubbing his hands.
