"Evera."

The chills took over me as I heard the voice that called my name from the dark. My vision blurred with the static screen for a second that I used to stare at back home when I was with my parents. When it was still my home.

There in the darkness was a familiar silhouette that I never thought I would ever see again.
"You must get out of here." The voice said again with the back facing me, urging me to move forward and feel that familiar back under my cold fingertips.

The static screen blurred my vision once again. And all of a sudden I found myself only a few feet away from the silhouette. Well, it wasn't a silhouette anymore. The shadow of the person has solidified into a memory that I had from the time I had last seen her, in the dark room, with her back towards me.

"Mom?" I called out not able to perceive if it was a dream or a reality.

"You are in their area," she whispered making more chills go down my spine before turning around vomiting the black goo that I had seen my father barf at me as the black fog raised from behind her, engulfing her while her black eyes stared at me with hunger as the fog tried to reach for me.

The static screen blurred my vision, as it came back to the glass shattering, a drop of blood splashing in the pool of it and an ear-splitting scream echoed as the black wind gushed towards me.

My eyes fluttered open as I desperately sucked for air trying to remove the heaviness on my chest. My eyes looked around panicked, trying to decipher where I was and what was going on around me.

The room was unfamiliar to me with the high ceiling decorated with antique chandeliers that looked like they were from the time of Vikings. Huge cream curtains hung from the ceiling that had left open to allow the moonlight grace the room from the huge arched window. The grass in the lawn looked silver under the moonlight, though it had only the first quarter.

My vision was all of a sudden covered by the face of woman who said, "oh, you are awake!"

From her uniform, it looked like she was the nurse. I looked around me to find multiple empty beds and about two more beds that were occupied but the occupiers were asleep.

"Where am I?" I asked pushing myself up to sit. She helped me with it.

"You dear, are at the infirmary. You roommate dropped you here whilst you were unconscious. Good thing he did, you were having palpitations," she placed the tray she had been carrying on the side stand and handed me a cup. My roommate? I wonder who it was.

The blurred memories of some angelic blonde filled my mind but I don't remember having anyone looking like that as my roommate.

Dispersing my thoughts, I focused on the present.

"What is this?" I asked looking at the colorless water in the cup that the nurse had provided.

"Electrolyte solution. Your Blood pressure had dropped at an abnormal rate. I had to give you some IV fluids but not much of tremendous increase when I rechecked it a few minutes ago. At least you are awake now, else I was worried if we had to call for the ambulance to take you to the hospital."

Only upon her explanation, did I see the needle sticking out of my arm with a pipe going all the way up to the almost empty IV bag.

I felt my headache as I asked rubbing it, "for how long was I out?"

"About some three hours. It's already past midnight now," she answered looking at her pocket watch that she pulled out of her bra before pushing it back in.
