I finally did it. It took forever, but I've finally re-read this all and can now start posting again. I apologize for the long wait on this story, since I've observed it being a favorite. To all those that have been patiently waiting; here is a new chapter for you all. <3

To say Giyuu had let his guard entirely fall would be correct. Yoriichi was simply just like Tanjirou; a friendly natured individual with a good and open heart. It almost made him a bit envious of what Tanjirou could have had. However, Giyuu knew the situation. Had come to understand the situations that had occurred back then; something Yoriichi held no desire to withhold. He was a rather honest person, all things considered.
"I am simply happy to know you're alive and well, Tanjirou. How I've missed you..." There was a lingering silence as Yoriichi let a hand gently rustle Tanjirou's head of hair. Took in the length of it, giving a calming smile. "You truly do look just like me. From the hair, to even that scar."
Tanjirou watched as his father seemed to draw his hand back, taking along breath as sorrow laced the air. A smell that left him urging reasons. "You seem sad, Otousan... What's bothering you?"
"Oh Tanjirou, my dear boy. I merely had wished you a life beyond Demons and Demon Slayers. I wanted something normal for you..." It all seemed to fit into place as even Giyuu seemed to understand. He'd not deny the meaning left him a bit irritated, though he kept composed as he spoke up.
"Normal or not, I do not wish to impose, but Tanjirou isn't normal. As his father, you're aware of that fact, that Tanjirou isn't entirely human." Yoriichi seemed a bit taken back, though Tanjirou's smile lifted his concerns.
"You're aware of his true nature?" Giyuu nodded, shifting his gaze upward. How could he not know, with everything. "When did you learn of this truth, if I might ask? I am not entirely sure how long the two of you have been together."
Tanjirou seemed willing to answer, however, Giyuu felt he needed to speak here. To assert his own truths and possibly prove some sort of worth. After all, it wasn't like meeting Tanjirou's father was something simple. It was something he'd once wished for, and it was simply before him. "I learned of his origins about three years after we found him. I've been with him since; hell, even before that. Tanjirou is everything to me in this world."
A small hum sounded as Giyuu felt his eyes latch to those that matched Tanjirou's. So, calming. So gentle. It was peaceful to the raven-haired male as he noticed a hand reach his way, fingers gently touching along his shoulder as those eyes seemed to glisten just slightly. Enough to cause Giyuu's heart to tremor. "Thank you, Giyuu. Truly so, thank you for caring for him. For giving him what he needed and being someone for him to lean on. You gave him what I was unable to. "
The moment tears seemed to fall, both Tanjirou and Giyuu seemed startled. They were caught attempting to calm Yoriichi; however, it only seemed to cause more distress as the other rose to their feet. Stepped a few paces away as Tanjirou simply watched. Viewed as his father smiled toward him in such a sad way, words like a whisper piercing the silence. Leaving the space deafened. "I must take leave for now, but I will see you again soon, Tanjirou. I will bring you home soon, I promise."
"Otousan? What are you saying?" Tanjirou had found his strength to stand, his eyes crested in confusion. Even Giyuu was conflicted. Why was Yoriichi running away. However, those questions were left partially answered. "Why are you trying to leave me after just finding me..."
"I promise Tanjirou, I will reveal everything in time. For now, just know I love you. You're my one and only child; my precious Tanjirou."
"Wait... But, why can't you take me home now?" That question startled Giyuu, who fell silent. Who was he to stop Tanjirou's choice, right?
"It's not time yet. I wasn't even supposed to be here, Tanjirou. Listen to me and listen well. I will return to you the day you call for me. Should you truly desire to come with me, you'll be required to leave all this behind. All those you've come to trust. All the bonds you've built." Tanjirou chewed his lip, feeling his frustrations grow.
"What does that even mean, Otousan?"
"It means that coming with me will change your world entirely. I cannot disclose much more, but whatever you come to decide, I will never disagree with it. Take time to think it through, especially with someone like Giyuu at your side. You have much, Tanjirou. Take note of it and if you ever feel you're unable to keep going, just call for me. I'll always find you, Tanjirou." How badly Tanjirou wanted to speak. To argue and try to persuade Yoriichi to stay. But just as he seemed to appear, he too disappeared as a Biwa's tune seemed to ring out. Left Tanjirou standing there, defeat pressed to his features as he crumpled to his knees, falling into Giyuu's hold as the raven-haired male lowered himself to support the other. To hold Tanjirou in an embrace that left the other to crumble as tears fell viciously. Seared his skin and made his desperate cries fall into the silence of the space, awakening all around as sorrows kissed the air.

It's a bit short, but I'm officially back! WooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOO
Anyway, hope this chapter is suitable and leave me feedback. This was a shorter chapter, but mainly due to it being the first chapter in a long time. Chapters to come shouldn't be as short. I'm looking forward to carrying this story on, so let us commence once more on this adventure.
