I sighed as I went inside the Sy's simple abode. We were having lunch here because Tita invited us. Nalaman ko na kasama ni Storm si Rain kaya sumama ang mood ko.
I was going to make an excuse sana to not go pero baka sabihin ni Storm na apektado ako. Oh, and I would also love to see Rain uncomfortable once na magkaharap kami. I smirked.
We sat at the table. I sat exactly infront of Rain para mailang siya. She was sitted beside Storm and I was seated beside my Mom. Tita and Mom and Dad were across each other.
"So, Tita, I would like you to meet Rain. My girlfriend." pakilala ni Storm sa girlfriend niya.
"Oh." sambit ni Mommy then she looked at me. Alam ko na alam ni Mommy na gusto ko si Storm. Halata naman kasi. "Hi Rain. I'm Sunny's mom."
Ngumiti lang si Rain kay Mommy. Umirap ako sa kawalan.
"Oh siya. Let's eat na!" Announce ni Tita France.
While we were eating biglang nagsalita si Rain. "Nasan po ang Daddy ni Storm?"
Lahat kami ay napatigil sa pagkain at natahimik. I looked at Tita France and Storm. Bumudha ang sakit sa mga mata nila.
"Are you stupid? Tito Greg is in heaven na. Ikaw ang girlfriend pero hindi mo alam? Anong klaseng girlfriend ka?" I said with a raised eyebrow. I know I sounded bitchy infront of my parents and Tita France pero wala akong pake.
"O-oh. I'm s-sorry. I d-didn't know." sabi nto.
Umiling ako. "Halata nga." sabi ko.
"Uhm. Ang sarap ng luto mo mare! Anong recipe nito?" Pagbabasag ni Mommy sa awkwardness.
Tita France smiled and she and Mom started chatting. I looked at Storm who looked really down. I sighed then pumikit ako.
"Iwokay. Swayl, my pwince." I said.
Nang magmulat ako, Storm was staring at me in awe. Nakatingin lang si Rain kay Storm. Palipat lipat ang tingin niya sa aming dalawa. I smiled at Storm and he smiled back.
Yung sentence na yun ang nakakapaggaan ng loob sa kanya. That's what I always say when he's troubled. It started nung bata pa lang ako. Nung namatay ang Daddy niya. He would always cry. And me being the baby me. I talked like that. He would smile after and he would feel good and I guessed it helped him now.
It was embarrassing pero I would always say that when Storm is in trouble. I don't want him getting hurt. When he's hurt, I'm hurt too lalo na at naging parang second Dad ko si Tito Greg.
WE finished lunch peacefully. Si Mommy, Daddy at si Tita lang ang nag-uusap. Paminsan minsan ay tinatanong kami pero that was it. Rain was quiet. Siguro ay dahil napahiya siya nung una and maybe because I was there too kaya takot siya magsalita.
"Babe, akyat lang ako. May kukunin lang sa kwarto." paalam ni Storm sa girlfriend niyang ulan.
"Sige. Hurry back." pabebeng sabi ni Rain. I rolled my eyes.
"Ma, akyat lang po ako." sabi ko sa kanila. Lahat sila ay nakatingin sakin.
"Bakit, Sunny?" Tita France asked.
"Punta lang po ako kwarto ni Storm. I'll be back po." sagot ko sa kanila habang nakangiti.
Tumango naman silang lahat then they resumed talking. Tumingin ako kay Rain na nakatingin lang sakin. Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay tapos umakyat na.
I opened the door and I saw Storm beside his bed. Lumingon ito sakin at kumunot ang noo niya upon seeing me. "What are you doing here, Sunny?" he asked.
"I'm bored." I said at sumalampak ako sa kama niya. Hmmm. Amoy Storm. Kinuha ko ang isang unan at niyakap ito.
"Oh eh anong gusto mo gawin ko?" tanong nito sakin. Dumilat ako at tumingin sa kanya.
"The usual. Please?" I used puppy dog eyes on him because I know that it will work. Storm's weakness is my puppy dog eyes.
He sighed. "Okay, okay. You know I can't resist you." sabi nito na ikinangiti ko naman. I tapped the side of the bed beside me. Sumampa siya sa kama.
Inayos ko ang higa ko at humiga sa dibdib niya. Niyakap ko siya and I put my left leg on top of his legs. Storm snaked his left arm on my waist. It was like he was hugging me.
He started patting my arm. Huminga ito ng malalim bago kumanta.

I sighed as he started to sing. Storm's voice wasn't as good pero it was soothing. His voice is the type of voice you could listen to while falling asleep.

Niyakap ko pa siya lalo ng mahigpit. It feels so right to be hugged by him, to be with him. It's like we're meant to be for each othr. Siguro ngayon hindi pa yun alam ni Storm, but I know someday he will.

My eyelids started to become heavy. I gave up and let them close. Pakinig ko ang heart beat ni Storm.
"Sunny?" He called out.
"Hmmm?" I hummed. I was too sleepy to even mutter a word.
Matagal siya bago magsalita and when he did, I smiled.
"Sleep tight, love."
