Chapter Thirty

After we ate at McDo we drove off. Zeke and Axel were big eaters. Ang dami nilang kinain. One piece chicken with Cheeseburger, McFlurry tapos large fries yung dalawa. Ang akin lang ay McChicken because I wasn't that hungry.

I was driving when I saw Storm with a kid. My forehead creased. Sino yung bata? Is he Storm's kid? Anak niya ba yun kay Rain?

"Mommy!"

I looked at the road and immediately stepped on the breaks. The truck that was supposed to crash into our car drove past us. I was breathing hard when I heard knocking on my car window.

"Miss? Are you okay?"

I looked at the car window and my eyes widened when I saw Storm knocking. Oh my god. I heard Zeke sobbing. "Mommy..." I breathed hard then I opened the door.

"Miss, are yoㅡSunny?" Storm said.

I gave him a small smile. I was about to talk again when Zeke called me. Mabilis akong pumunta sa likod ng kotse at binuksan ang pinto. Zeke scurried near me and hugged me.

"Mommy, I'm scared." sab nito. I carressed his back and hushed him.

"Sila na ba yan? Zeke? Axel?" I stilled when I heard Storm's voice. Oh shit. Nandito nga pala 'to.

Kumalas ako sa pagkakayakap ni Zeke but he still hugged my arm. "Mommy, who's he?" Axel asked me.

I was about to answer him when I heard a honk. I turned my head and I realized that we were causing traffic. Mabilis kong sinara ang pintuan sa likod at lumapit sa pintuan sa harap.

"Sunny." Storm called me. Hindi ko siya pinansin at pumasok na ng kotse. I started the engine then I drove off.

I plopped on my bed when I got to my room. God, I was tired. Driving really wasn't my thing. My feet and thighs are like hurting right now. I sighed. I suddenly remembered what happened a while ago.

Hindi ko akalain na makikita ko ulit si Storm. My heart fluttered when I remembered how he looked. He had stubbles but it didn't bother me. It actually looked hot. I sighed. But who was the kid beside him? Was he Rain and Storm's kid?

I grunted. Stop overthinking, Sunny. You'll just hurt your head. I rolled over to the left side of the bed and closed my eyes. I had enough for today. It's time for me to rest

"Shouldn't you suggest more ideas?" I asked Ian who was having troubles with something.

"I think so? I guess. I don't know." He said then he followed it with u grunt. He leaned back and closed his eyes. I shook my head. His table was full of unread papers. He had a lot of meetings coming up and it was stressing him. He looked like shit.

"I think you should rest?" I suggested. He heaved a deep sigh.

"And leave all of this? No way. Madadagdagan at madadagdagan lang ang gawain ko. Might as well get this over with." He said. Napanguso ako. He had a point but he really looked like shit.

"Maybe take a rest and work later when you down feel like shit anymore. How's that?" I asked. "I mean, you really need it. Ilang araw ng kulang ang tulog mo. You might get sick. Wala akong planong mag-alaga sa'yo." I said.

He sighed once again then he nodded. "Yeah, maybe I should." sabi nito.

He stood up and was about to walk into his private bedroom in the office when he looked back at me. "How about you?"

"Nah. I'll just go home and prepare dinner for the kids." I said. He nodded then he went inside.

Ian had a bedroom inside his office. It's where he sleeps kapag nagpapagabi siya sa office. Ian is the hardworking type. Siya lang kasi ang anak ng mga parents niya so he does his best talaga.

I sighed then I stood up and decided to go out of his office. I stopped from my tracks when I saw Storm walking towards me. Uhm, more like Ian's office. He looked shocked to see me but his face relaxed then became normal again.

"Hey, what were you doing in Mr. Devis's office?" He asked with a creased forehead. I shut the door behind me then I cleared my throat because it was dry, I gulped too. His eyebrows raised at me.

"Uhmm..I just uh.." I sighed. Okay, chill, Sunny. It's not like you were caught cheating. That's what exactly what I feel but that is just so wrong because Storm didn't care about me. "He's my friend and I visited him."

"Oh? Is he in?" He asked and he looked past me.

"He's uhm resting." I answered. I looked at him and I noticed that his face was already clean. He also had a haircut and it was nice. He was wearing a three piece suit with a navy blue tie. I looked at his eyes. Oh, those eyes. Looking at them made me feel vulnerable. I wanted to melt. He had these eyes which you would love to stare at them all day. I remember waking up to him staring at me intently every morning. But that was years ago.

Storm cleared his throat and the sound he made made me snap back to reality. "I'll just be back again since he's resting." He said. I just looked at him. He smiled at me before turning back. That was the time when I let go of my breath. I didn't even know that I was holding it. I looked at Ian's secretary who looked at me then back at Storm like there was something. When she looked back at me. I smiled.

"Cancel all your boss' meetings today. He needs rest. Your boss looks tired. We wouldn't want him to get sick then die won't we?" I said.

She nodded at me. She started typing something on her computer then she wrote something. I left her there and got in the lift.

I was surprised to see Rain in the lift with the kid that was with Storm yesterday. So, anak nga ata nila. I pressed basement three then waited.

"You're back." she said. I looked at her. I'm back? What does she mean? "You know, Storm missed you." she said.

Kumunot ang noo ko. "Huh?" I managed to say. What is she talking about? Missed me? Storm?

She smiled then she shook her head. "Say hi to Tita Sunny, Stefen." she told the kid. 'Stefen' faced me and waved at me with a big toothy grin. He was missing his two front teeth but it looked cute. Namiss ko tuloy si Zeke at Axel.

"Hi Tita Sunny." He beamed. I smiled back at him.

"I hope you still love Storm." sabi ni Rain. I looked at her with a confused face.

"I don't get you." sabi ko.

She just giggled and smiled before going out of the lift. "See you around, Sunny." she said then the elevator doors closed infront of me.

What was that all about?

I was left dazed inside the elevator hanggang sa makarating sa basement. Tulira ako habang binubuksanang makina ng kotse. I  didn't get why Rain said those things to me. What was she trying to say? Nananawa na ba siya sa relasyon nila ni Storm kaya she's sending me mix signals? What are the signals about? Is it 'help me ruin my relationship with Storm'? or what? I'm confused, really.

I cleared my thoughts then I drove off. I shouldn't be thinking too much. I grunted.
