Just listening to the first tape.
It hurt me.
The next day, I went to school still with my head phones. V was sick today so it was just me. I looked at justin who looked back at me. The passed by quick.
I remembered her that whole day happy. When it said on the tape , he asked her out. She never talked to me about it . Until she did. I looked up .
I walked by her room. She was putting on her jacket. She tucked hair behind her ear. She smiled in the mirror. I stood in the door way.
" whatcha getting ready for?" Says jaime
" oh nothing really" says hannah
" Hannah please " Says jaime, scoffing and chuckling
" ok , i um might see justin foley from school " says hannah
" the stupid basketball jock? " says jaime, walking into Hannah's room sitting on her bed
" he's not stupid " Says hannah
" he's nice " Says hannah
" oh my god, you like him " says jaime
" no I don't bunny " Says hannah
" you definitely do Hanns " Says jaime
" bunny, if I liked someone you'd be the first to know I promise you " Says hannah
" I'm sure . But if you did like someone , I'm sure there lucky to have you " Says jaime
I fluffed up Hannah's hair. I chuckled as I left her room.
a tear went down my cheek. When I remembered that day. I wiped that tear. I paused it.
There was something I forgot to mention. My neighbor. kinda. He lived a few houses down. Carter fucking drew. he was tall. and cared enough about me. Even before my sister died. when I first met him, we didn't get along. like at all. We werent friends we kinda it was complicated to explain. He is the currently the water boy for the basketball team. and all sports. He came through my window. He was clumsy. too clumsy. He barely made it through my window. It made me chuckle. He finally made it through.
" you do know we have a door Carter it's easier to go through " Says jaime
" but what's the fun in that. What are you listening to? Some podcast about world domination?" Says Carter
" just um some tapes " says jaime
" anything interesting?" Says Carter
" no but on another subject why are you coming through my window now Carter? " says jaime
" boredom. Your avoiding the question. Is it something dangerous? I'm definitely in" Says Carter, smirking , standing beside jaime leaning on her chair
" it's just, trying to find answers. I um got these tapes. Hannah made tapes before she died. 13 tapes front and back I'm half thru the first side. And um it's about foley " Says jaime
" wasn't there a rumor that they went out and about that picture going out?" Says Carter
" yea. A rumor can ruin a persons life. Everyone on this tape can be the reason she killed herself . These are the answers I need to heal " Says jaime
" ooh, taking down assholes I'm definitely in on that. And plus I definitely hate douche bags " Says Carter
" your really gonna listen to these tapes with me and help take down every one on these?" Says jaime
" please. I don't condone dicks. I actually liked your sister. Let's get these assholes" says Carter
I smirked as I pressed unpause and continued to listen with Carter listening.
What came next hurt. She said her and justin just kissed. Then he sent the picture. I looked at Carter. I continued to listen. I remembered that day when she got home.
I started walking upstairs exhausted from school. I didn't even bring my phone to school bc I didn't feel like it . Hannah was in her room. I looked at her.
" what's wrong? Hey " says jaime
" I'm sure you heard " says Hannah
I looked at my sister confused. She was bawling her eyes out.
" no one talks to me about that type of stuff. Plus I skipped class today so tell me Hanns " says jaime
She handed me her phone. There was a picture of her. I looked at it. I bit my lip in being upset. Not with my sister.
" hey look at me" says jaime
" that picture. It's just a picture. And justin foley. His dick is probably smaller than a lint. Your a bad bitch and amazing honey. I got you " Says jaime
I looked at her. She hugged me.
" guys are dicks but there are good guys out there " Says jaime
"There are good guys out there, I just wasn't looking in the right places " Says Hannah in her tapes
she took my advice.
" I knew it was lie " Says Carter, taking the ear plug out
