The Hazy Forgotten of Childhood

Don't you know I worry about you?

Love extinguished where hate blooms.

Don't you know I worry about you?

Coming home, looking like you do.

I love you. I love you.

My best friend, the one that supported me,

Through and through.

I know nothing is ever free,

But why can't we ever just be?

I miss your smiles, the light in bug-eyes

I miss it when you were too innocent to lie

Now you come home, I don't even know you

At some point, you must've opened your wings and flew

I strain for what was stronger

I didn't even know I could

Wish I appreciated it longer

Maybe everything would've been as it should
