Chapter Five <3

I looked at Jace wolfing down his food like a  madman. "Slow down! You'll puke everywhere!" I grimaced and he shot me a sheepish look. He ate slower, but not by much. 

I turned back to my plate of Hawaiian pizza and saw red when I realized a piece  was missing. 

My left eye twitched and I stood up slowly. "Lesson one, foolish humans. Never keep me away from my food." I growled in a low voice. Everyone stopped eating and looked at me. "Now that I have your attention, i would like to propose a deal. The mortal who has undeniably and illegally announced ownership of my food shall own up as quickly as humanly possible, lest the lungs of said human be lost. If indeed the human fails to do this, there shall be very bloody, very painful, and rather unsightly consequences and punishment. Not to mention I shall have a hard time convincing my underlings to clean up the mess I will have left when I am finished with the foolish creature that has taken a piece of my forbidden pizza. Take heed, humans. " I finished. The room was deathly silent and and someone snorted. "Sorry, don't speak nerd." Andy giggled. Stupid Andy. I spun around and pointed at him. "FOOL!" I bellowed. His face turned shocked. 

"It was thee whom hast takeneth my pizza!" I yelled. Andy began to back away, hands in the air. "Thou shall payeth dearly! RESPECT THINE PIZZA!" I charged at him. 

He turned to run away but I ran and jumped on him  as if he was giving me a piggyback. I pounded my fists onto his back and neck until he yelped and I fell off. I landed practically on a person and  we slid to the floor. I sat between their spreadeagled legs and huffed with a pout. 

"Oh hey Jace. " I gave him the puppy-dog eyes with my pout and he blinked rapidly. "No! Don't fall under her spell!" Jinxx shrieked jokingly. 

Too late. 

His eyes were a little hazy and I asked him if he could please get our pizza then sit back down next to me. He got up and wobbled. 

He handed me my pizza and slumped back down, his eyes still cloudy. I kissed him on the cheek and even surprised myself. "Thank you!" I sang. He blinked a few times again and looked at Andy, who was cowering next to the couch. 

"Holy crap. I just hypnotized Jace." I gaped and got a piece of pizza shoved in my mouth. Jace grinned at me and i grinned back. 

"Well that escalated quickly. "Ashley stated, laughing with the others. 

"Always does when it involves food!" CC piped. "And that was without a single drop of rum! Or Rockstar, for that matter." I quoted Jack Sparrow and everyone laughed. 

Life was finally giving me a helping hand. It hadn't turned it's back on me after all. 

I sighed and dug into my pizza again until there was nothing left. I even licked the plate clean. 

I got up and collected everyones plates, rinsing them off and putting them in the dishwasher. "It's the least I can do." I defended when everyone stared at me. Sammi cracked a smile. 

"Um, now that that's all done, Sammi?" I turned to her and she cocked her head sideways at me. "Is there somewhere that I can paint safely without worrying if i get paint on something?" I asked, biting my lip. Jinxx brightened. "What about that spare guest room? It'll never be used for anything else, you can turn it into your art room if no one minds." He proposed. 

Sammi nodded. "Yea! Maybe we can grab some art stuff for you next time we head out; we have to get you and Jace some fitting clothes anyway. And you need to re-dye your hair, your roots are showing, Skylar." My hand flew up to my head. 

"I hate it when that happens!" I complained. "But it'd be really nice if I could use that room and borrow someone's iPod charger." I hinted. 

"I'll go grab mine for you." Jake got up and disappeared. "Thanks Jake!" I called. "Am I allowed to put my stuff in there now?" I asked. "Of course you can! You don't have to be so polite; you don't even have to ask us these things. Just do 'em." Sammie shrugged. "I'll give you a hand, if you'd like. I want to see some paintings of yours anyway." She said. Jace put his hand in the air and shuffled forwards. "You wanna help too?" I blinked and he nodded.
