A second year recommended that they should meet up for drinks some time. His name was Daniel, didn't seem to have any significance, though she would remember.

Politely declining the offer, persistence was what she got in return. A sense of entitlement covered his cognitive thinking. Daniel clearly was asking for a date, still it didn't sink in.

"I am really sorry, but I have made plans with Abigail already", she explained whilst quietly escaping the scene.

Ignorance was bliss, even if it was faked.

It was better than direct confrontation. She didn't mind knowing that she was all he would talk about for the upcoming days.

Today was different however.

It didn't include the usual task of painfully turning down boys, or pretending not to hear personal opinions of her.

A rumor was spreading, and she was involved.

People were incapable of keeping their mouths shut here.

With not many activities present, many turn to other forms of entertainment.

A rumor was spreading and it was about a boy who was allegedly going to ask her out.

Not just any boy, it was none other than Keil Barker.

Keil Barker was a boy of many words, none of the importance.

He spurs nonsense to have everyone's attention on him.

It was just as addictive as his erratic outbursts.

That was one of the many flaws that was over shadowed by his many strengths.

Keil was molded precisely from a cookie cutter.

He was, dare I say, "perfect".

He was well aquatinted with everyone on campus, well knowledge, played excellently in sports, came from a wealthy background, and carried his prized possession, his body.

That dangerously sculpted piece of inhumane art would have any girl on her knees, just for the mere taste.

He could have anyone, yet he wanted her.

No reason needed.

This was not the first time She encountered Keil Barker.

Their paths have crossed before. It wasn't long ago when he pinned her in a corner to ask nonsensical questions, thinking her embarrassment was adorable.

She tried to forget the many times he made moves on her. The very thought of remembering those unpleasant chats created desire to involuntary punch a wall.

Unsure of how to handle the situation, since giving up wasn't in Keil's vocabulary, she hit a brick wall.

Prior to this chain of events Abigail supported the idea of them being an item.

Her arguments were often "moments like this don't happen every day", or "Do you know how many girls would love to date Keil Barker."

From the pressure, and uncertainty, slowly she considered it a possibility.

Others were inclined to the idea.

Without gaining any previous experience with relationships this could be a chance.

She wasn't his first though.

There was Ruth who majored in Computer and Technology, Brianna majoring in Business, Maria who was a mutual friend, there was also that girl named Flo, which only lasted a week.

There were more, however what was the use recalling all of their names.

However, they all got dumped for the same reason, they were never good enough.

Each one left completely shattered, still there was an infinite list of girls who wanted to be next.

Maybe she was different, maybe she was the one.

But the outcome was clear.

Keil waited on an empty table, shocked that she approached him.

"Wow you actual came."

She forced the corners of her lips to smile.

"I'm guessing you've heard the rumors?" He questioned.

His smug smile slightly cracked.

"Yes, I did Keil."

"I was the one who started it, didn't think it would spread this quickly."

His eyes shot directly at her, waiting for her to make a move.

Like the shy, stubborn piece she was, nothing came out.

"So... want go out with me?"

Still with no distinct answer she had to respond.

"Sure." A sigh slipped from that very phrase.

She had lost a non-existent battle as she held her white flag for all to whiteness.

Leaping with glee he shouted, "she said yes!!!"

A swarm came around him congratulating his accomplishment, like he'd achieved something outstanding.

Unnoticed she casually walked away, sinking back into the scenery.

Nobody cared to cheek.

Many of his friends were baffled that he wasn't turned down, on the other hand many claimed they knew she'd agree, as if they unlocked the secrets to telepathy.

"See you around", Keil called out.

A group of his buddies were holding him above their heads.

She turned around as their shadow hovered over her.

"Yeah, See you around Keil."
