"Stand back!" Xisuma yelled."Don't! It's asking for help!" Grian yelled back.
"How would you know?"
"I already said, I know galactic! Now c'mon!"
As much as he hoped he was wrong, Grian couldn't shake the feeling that the hand vibrated, and that feeling was WATCHER. He didn't want to let them take what he had finally found again, no way! But the voice had called him brother. And if this was a secret sibling, Grian knew he couldn't accidentally betray his only living family, so he rushed forward to help.
He grasped the hand and pulled. A forearm was attached to the hand, and Grian assumed the rest of the body would be too. Scar and Mumbo rushed to help as well, and together they managed to get the left shoulder out. X gave in, and helped. Seeing their admin help, almost all of the other hermits took the example and helped.
After working the whole body through the small hole, Grian paled, and not of exhaustion. It was a watcher. But this watcher had a torn dark purple cloak, along with very battered wings. Their mask had a large crack where he could see tears. Maybe... maybe this one's a runaway, like me. Maybe this one can help! They also had platinum blonde hair, and Grian was pretty sure watchers didn't have hair dye. It wasn't too many shades away form his, actually. Weird...
"Who's going to help carry them to my place? They're clearly hurt pretty bad." Stress said. She was the opposite of her name, StressMonster. She seemed to relax everybody around her, and worked as a healer. Nor was she a monster.
"I'll help." Grian replied almost instantly. "Besides, they were calling me brother. Maybe I'll bring them comfort." Iskall and Impulse helped as well, and then Stress shooed everybody away so she could treat them. She returned with medium news. They were doing well, but they were in a small coma. She didn't expect it to last more than a week, but until then, she needed one person to stay with them at all times.
And so, for the next seven days, Grian stayed at the bedside of his supposed sibling. He was reading a book to the still masked figure when suddenly their wings twitched and they rustled, seeming to wake up. Grian immediately called over Stress and she once again shooed everybody away for treatment.
"Hey Gri! Heard they're waking up! We know anything?" said Impulse, strolling up.
"Nah, stress is treating as we speak though. Hopefully she'll let us see them after. I was about to call X over."
"Good idea."
All of a sudden, a voice yelled from inside.
"∴⍑ᒷ∷ᒷ ᔑᒲ ╎! ∴⍑𝙹 ᔑ∷ᒷ ||𝙹⚍! ∴⍑ᒷ∷ᒷ ╎ᓭ ᒲ|| ʖ∷𝙹ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ∷!"
"Calm down!" "リ𝙹!" "Seriously, chill! Your wounds aren't healed enough for you to just walk around!" "╎ ↸𝙹リ'ℸ ̣ ᓵᔑ∷ᒷ! ∴⍑ᒷ∷ᒷ ╎ᓭ ᒲ|| ʖ∷𝙹ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ∷!" Grian rushed in to see the watcher standing up, wings spread out, and Stress in the corner, clearly intimated.
"Hey!" at the sound of his voice, the watcher's head snapped towards them and their face lit up. "ʖ∷𝙹ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ∷!" They ran over and hugged Grian. He could feel them shaking. "ʖ∷𝙹ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ∷, ╎'ᒲ ᓭ𝙹∷∷||, ╎'ᒲ ᓭ𝙹, ᓭ𝙹 ᓭ𝙹∷∷||. ╎ ↸╎↸リ'ℸ ̣ ᒷ⍊ᒷリ ℸ ̣ ⍑╎リꖌ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ|| ∴𝙹⚍ꖎ↸ ᒷ⍊ᒷ∷ ⍑⚍∷ℸ ̣ ||𝙹⚍! ╎'ᒲ ⊣ꖎᔑ↸ ╎'ᒲ ∴╎ℸ ̣ ⍑ ||𝙹⚍ ᔑ⊣ᔑ╎リ, ̇/ᒷꖎᑑ⚍ᔑ." The seemingly cruel watcher then started crying on Grian's shoulders, which it could actually do because it was around half and inch shorter than him.
"Wow, they're actually shorter than you, Gri. That's rare."
"I know. Hey, do you speak English?" The watcher perked up and replied.
"𝙹⍑! ╎ᓭ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑℸ ̣ ||𝙹⚍∷ ꖎᔑリ⊣⚍ᔑ⊣ᒷ リ𝙹∴? ╎ ᓵ𝙹⚍ꖎ↸リ'ℸ ̣ ℸ ̣ ᒷꖎꖎ. ⊣╎ᒲᒲ╎ᒷ ᔑ ᓭᒷᓵ ᔑリ↸ ╎'ꖎꖎ ⎓╎ ̇/ ᒲ|| ⍊𝙹ᓵᔑꖎ ᓵ𝙹∷↸ᓭ." They summoned a ball of magic, and Grian realized something. Their magic was black with a purple halo. Since watcher magic got a darker shade of purple the stronger it was, this watcher must basically be a god. They moved the ball of black flames to their throat and passed it through their skin like it didn't even exist. They coughed, then quieted down a moment and seemed to think.
"Will this do?" they said suddenly.
"Whoa, what? Since when did they TALK?" Impulse asked. "They could always talk, just not in a way you could understand." Grian replied. The watcher giggled. "And I can keep talking, and keep understanding you. So don't talk about me like I'm not here. Also, she/her please." " 'kay. Um, if I can ask, what's your name?" She shifted uncomfortably and looked at Grian.
"Brother, can I trust them?" He was startled at this, and something hit him.
"Wait, how am I your brother? Mum and Dad didn't have kids after me because.. Well.. they died, yeah, but they never talked about an older sister." She scowled. "They didn't, did they? Well, that about checks out. Ever wonder why they fought?" "obviously I did!" "Well, around when I was three, the watchers surveyed the land and found I had an awful lot of dad's genes. They took me and raised me with no warning, and told mum and dad that they'd killed me and they had one more chance to produce a powerful being. They blamed each other, and blah blah blah."
Her face became solemn. "The moment I got to choose what human to watch, I chose you, so that I could protect you like a big sister should. I.. interfered so that that bullie Sam couldn't get you, and thank god I got away with it. I sent you to a hidden server, and it took them a while to find you. I tried bringing Taurtis back so you could have the friend you had lost when you shouldn't have, but they noticed the necromancer activity and.. Took you when you were not with your friends. You became a watcher, and I was... kept away."
As she turned away they saw a single tear fall from her eyes. "Right when I was so close to finally meeting you, helping you, just being with you, they took me away. And then you tried to escape. I felt it, and I fought." She laughed a dark, hollow laugh with no emotion. "I fought and I killed to get to you. One of them almost got you, and I ripped his heart out after pulling him back. Guess you never saw me." She smiled sadly, and continued. "That's when things went... wrong. They caught me moments after I helped open a portal for you. I was... punished." She pulled her arms and wings partially around herself and shuddered. "Those wide, shimmering purple scars? My punishment for loving my only family."
"Whoa..." Stress and impulse breathed in unison.
"But, it is worth it." She placed her hand on Grian's cheek and said, "I finally have found my brother. My little Sun, Grian. Our parents named us based a little off of the irish words sun and moon. Ghrian and Gealach. Grian and Geala (pronounced gee-ah-la)" Grian let out a soft sob and hugged his sister tight. His bright parrot wings were covered by her larger, white-purple-gold ones.
When Impulse and Stress saw them hugging, they saw the resemblance. Same eye shape, same smile, same wing/ears. (like on the cover!) X burst in at that sweet, pure moment of sibling love, and was annoyed they hadn't waited for him, and made Geala repeat the story, which she was NOT happy about.
Wooo! Second done! This was actually a lot longer, but I thought it was too long, which it was. Ok, i dunno what to put here! Byeeee <3 :P
