I met those familiar purple eyes from across the street and ran for them at mach 20 speed because I was dying to see them smile.
"Hi!" I heaved through exhausted breaths.
"Hello," those eyes said back. Mafuyu walked towards me with an amused stately grin and a half-finished book in hand.
"Glad you could make it!"
"Yes, me too. Shall we go in?"
I hooked an arm around her shoulder and blessed her with the smile of a lifetime.
"Yup!" I led her into the art exhibit and held out my phone.
"What are you doing?" she asked as our faces popped into the black frame. I snapped the white button and captured us perfectly.
"Taking a picture," I hummed. I admired our expressions like they were the main attraction.
"Why?" she asked.
"Don't worry about it. They last longer than memories sometimes."
She shrugged.
"Okay then. Let me take a picture."
She raised her phone to a terribly awkward angle and snapped another shot. We looked so horribly stupid yet it felt so good.
"Nice! Now let's just make good memories to go with it."
