CHAPTER~03

JISOO's POV;

It was my birthday yesterday and I am grateful to them to make this day even better in each year. They do those little things which makes me happier & to be grateful to them each time. Those large parties or celebration is nothing compared to when I get their company beside me. Still,they do to make me feel celebrated. I can't even share how much I love them for being here for me each time I need them. Supporting me for my works and Helping me to be a better person each day. They are my family-Eomma,Appa & Jen. Though they are not my biological parents but they raised me till now and will do in future. 

Today is 4th January,a day in the calendar I want to remove from my years no matter what. Each year, this date fears me & reminds me how it has become a constant nightmare & the darkest truth of my life. This has been the reminder of my life that I am the child who saw her father to be killed at our own home by someone in the dark whom I will never recognize even if the person stand right in front of my eyes...

Flashback 

Jisoo used to live with his father(Kang Tae Oh) and his elder brother(Byun Baekyun). They were a little happy family filled with happiness & love in them. Baekyun,his brother had always a protective nature towards her as he was 7 years elder than her. They do everything people can imagine being a sibling but the love in them never faded. Their father always taught them to be good with others & love others. To give respect to those who deserves & never hurt others for own satisfaction.

Both siblings were in different schools as Jisoo was almost 10 so being close to the home was the best choice they can take for her. And for Baekyun,he was in another school near to their father's company. Everyday their father used to drop Jisoo first then her brother & then Jisoo was to be home with their Home Guard(Ok Taecyeon). Though he was a guard in profession,he was someone Jisoo's father used to trust with her daughter. Whenever Jisoo used to come home,she used to have her desired foods ready in the table for her which was feed by Taecyeon. He was close to the family & TaeOh's supporter. When TaeOh used to come back with Baekyun,they used to sit in the couch to hear what happened to each other in the day. That's how TaeOh raised their children. Lovely family raised by a gentleman indeed.

It was her 10th birthday and they celebrate like Jisoo always love to celebrate. Them,a birthday cake,some gifts and smiles. That's how little Jisoo used to celebrate. Few people of her life-Her,her father,her brother and her guard uncle Taecyeon. But this year,it was bit different. The smiles weren't similar as previous days. It didn't go unnoticed by Jisoo. She asked her father if something is bothering him,he can share. His father smiled a bit to her & said that everything's ok. However,she went to her bed after hearing the bed-story from her father & goodnight kiss from her father as well as her brother.

She understood something was off with her father but being at that age,it was quite difficult to assume the problems of adults. She put them off her mind & wished her father's problems to be gone before sleep.

The next day,TaeOh drove Jisoo at her school,told to behave good and study properly like usual for the last time. She went inside before hugging her father happily for the last time. After coming back from school,she ate & played with home guard Taecyeon. They waited for her father & brother who took a lit more time than usual to be in home. Till the evening, Taecyeon was there with her though his work time was over because of the little girl in this whole house alone. He got called by TaeOh that he will be home within minutes, Taecyeon can leave Jisoo there. Taecyeon gave a kiss in her forehead and told her to watch TV or play and within minutes,her father will be here. He left leaving the little girl alone.
