"Hey auntie, what you doing?" Tati said as the call connected. "Hey baby, nothing I'm making sure I got all the ingredients I need for this dinner tonight." Her aunt replied as Tati heard shuffling in the background. "You still bringing by that young man you been spending all yo time with right?"
"Yes auntie you was gone kill me before I even walked thru the door once you seen I was by myself." Tati joked while taking the phone from her ear and putting it on speaker.
"Glad you know." Her aunt added in before joining into the laugh. "You need me to come over and help you cook or get anything?" "No hunny it's fine I got my man to help me. You just worry about getting ready and bringing your guest." She said making Tati scrunch her face up in a playful way.
"Byeee auntie not you done turned into one of themmm." Tati dragged knowing full well she was definitely one of them too. Hell the leader of the group.
"And did. Now I'll see you later I know you got other things to do I gotta go start cooking."
"Ok auntie see you. Love you."
"Love you too baby. You better not show up alone!" Her aunt exclaimed before hanging up making Tati shake her head while chuckling a little.
Tati did grow a little nervous as she thought about the later plans. This would be her first time bringing someone home to her family and even though she loved Taurus and knew her family would embrace him with open arms, she was just scared of letting herself be happy. She was more comfortable with him then anybody else but this type of love was all new to her still.
Tati quickly shook the nervous thoughts out her head as a text from Taurus came thru.

Tati hearted the message as a smile crept onto her face. She reversed out of the parking spot and headed to the house.
After driving around with Taurus for a while they pulled up to his house to start getting ready for the dinner. Taurus grabbed her bag out the backseat before walking up to the door and opening it for them.
"Im finna hop in the shower." Tati announced once they made it up to his room. "Im hopping in withchu." Polo said as he put her bag down before wrapping his arms around her from behind. He placed soft kisses down her neck while running his fingers down her curves.
She stopped him from lifting her shirt. "We only have a hour and some change before we gotta go to the dinner." She spoke softly as she tried not to not get sucked in from the kisses. She turned around now facing him before he connected her lips into a few long pecks.
"You so pretty ma." He commented as he stared down at her. Taurus has become accustomed to everything about Tati. From the way she always wore a bare face with just clear lipgloss —just out of pure laziness, how she always wanted to be on time to everything, and how thoughtful she was of everyone around her— putting their needs before hers. She reminded him of his mother in a lot of ways, making his respect grow even more for her.
Meanwhile Tati was falling more in love with Taurus by the day. He was so gentle and caring with her, always making sure she was straight no matter what was happening. He noticed every small detail and actually listened when she talked about random things. He displayed his love and affection for her to the outside also, the complete opposite of anyone else she'd been in relations with. His love was something she never experienced before.
"Thank you luv." She said softly as she couldn't help but blush at the compliment. "Cmon let's take a quick shower." Taurus spoke making her smack her teeth.
"You know ain't nun finna be quick."
"You good ma?" Taurus asked as he opened the car door for her watching as she stepped out. Tati nodded her head while fixing her outfit anxiously.
"Calm down foo, you look beautiful." He chuckled as he stopped her movements and placed a kiss on her forehead. "What's the matter?"
Tati let out a deep sigh. "Nothing, I'm just a lil nervous that's all." She replied softly while reaching up to play with his chain. "What you nervous for? Shii I should be the one nervous this yo family." Polo joked making her let out a small laugh.
"You right... I don't know, I'm just scared you won't like them or you might look at me differently." She finally admitted before finally meeting his gaze as he stared down at her.
"Tati, I'm with you for you, even if I don't like your family or their ways that ain't gone change the way I view you." He spoke truthfully while moving some of her braids out her face. Tati couldn't hide her smile as she leaned up and pecked his lips a few times before they finally walked to the door.
Taurus knocked before standing slightly behind Tati. Soon the door opened revealing her aunt smiling big with an oven mitt on her right hand.
"Heyyy baby!" She spoke while bringing Tati in to a hug. "Hey auntie." Tati said as her aunt placed a small kiss on her cheek before they pulled away.
"This is Taurus, Taurus this is my aunt Camille." She introduced the two and Taurus stuck his hand out for her to shake but she shook her head, "no need for the formalities son." She said before surprising him with a hug.
"It's so nice to finally meet you! And you're even more handsome then the pictures." She spoke making both tati and him chuckle. "Thank you, it's nice to finally meet you too Ms. Camille, Tati had told me so much about you." He answered back making her scrunch her face up for a second.
"Just call me auntie sweetie, Ms makes me feel old." She told him and he nodded. "Y'all look nice!" She said while taking a look at both their outfits. "Come on in the foods prepped and ready!"
Tati gave him a look and he squeezed her hand in reassurance before they walked in behind her.
