3rd POV

This is crazy, and unbelievable. Dragon should have drown as soon his body hit the water since he is a devil fruit user. Instead he was floating.. Freaking floating on sea water! It somehow felt warm and cold at the same time, his heart beating so fast right now.

He should have drown right now so why is his floating as if he's not a devil fruit user? Where is the logic? Isn't devil fruit user hate by the sea? By his own God... It hurt when he accidentally eat the devil fruit when he was little because he was hungry.

A 5 years old Dragon was devastated.

A small mistake yet it cost everything he loves and when he heard from other people and read a book about the mother of sea hate devil fruit user and will drown and drag whoever eat the devil fruits to the bottom of the sea to die as soon their body touch her water, he was crushed.. Young Dragon cried that night.

His God hate him just because he ate a devil fruit. He love the sea, and knowing the sea herself hate him crushed his young soul. He pray and pray, asking for forgiveness from his God.

His father, Garp told him it was nonsense about the mother of sea hate devil fruit user. She love her children, it doesn't matter if they're a devil fruits user or not. But his young and naive heart thought his father just want to comfort him. Dragon cries in his father warmth.

He avoid going to beach to sea sight or sailing with his father, thinking it will anger his god. Locked himself in his room praying for forgiveness.

Years passed, he began to set sail again. He stare at the sea, and said. "I'm so sorry to disappointed you." in a low soft voice.

He love her... With all his heart, Dragon love his god, Umi. He pray again.

Even if his the sea hate him after he ate a devil fruit, he will continue loving the sea and pray to her.

He set sail at age 15.

The smell of the ocean, oh how he missed it. "I'm sorry for not visiting you, I'm sorry for eating a devil fruit 10 years ago. I know you hate me, but I will always love you.. Umi. Please forgive me for being foolish." he whispered and pray to his god.

The Sea seem to answer him and splash her water at his face which caught Dragon off guard. But he think nothing of it and thought it just the wave.

A couple minutes before Dragon fell into the sea.

There's was a storm, a really heavy one and the boat violently shake because of the wave, the boat till to the right and left dangerously close to the sea. One more pushed from the wave, Dragon boat would be flipped over.

It seem luck wasn't on Dragon side as the wave harshly slammed beside his boat making Dragon lost balanced and trip over the railing.

Time seem to move slower as he falling from his boat and into the cold water. He closed his eyes.
