1 month later.
James and Winnie drove Bucky to Sydney's house, when they arrived Timothy and Delaney let them in. As Sydney came down the stairs Bucky could feel his heart beating out of his chest.
"Son, breathe." James whispered as he nudged him.
Bucky walked over to the stairs and took her hand as she stepped down off the last step. Delaney and Winnie took photos as they did corsages and boutiounierres. Bucky was shaking as he held her for more photos.
After they were done with photos, James took them to the dance. The theme was Old Hollywood. They all had a blast at the dance, Skylar and Bennett won Prince and Princess. After the dance was over James picked them up.
As they were pulling out of the school parking lot, Bucky said "Hey dad do you think you could stop at the Sugar Shack and get us some milkshakes?"
"Wouldn't it be easier to Dairy Queen?" James said
Bucky rolled his eyes, and pulled out his phone he texted his dad "Please just go there, I've been looking for a window all night to kiss her."
He also hoped that he didn't have his Bluetooth on cause James' SUV sometimes will read the text to him. Luckily he didn't have it connected, and read the text. He smiled "What kind of milkshake do you like Syd?" He said
"Cookies and Cream, also um can you get me a cheeseburger with everything on it." Sydney said
"Make that two dad, a basket of fries for us to share." Bucky said
"Got it." James said
About ten minutes later he pulled into the parking lot. James went inside as Bucky scooted closer to Sydney.
He caressed her cheek, "I'm gonna kiss you, but I have never kissed a girl before." He said
"I have never been kissed." She said
He leaned in and gently kissed her lips, she cupped his cheek as he began to kiss back. Soon enough they made their tongues dance together. He squeezed her hip bone as the kiss deepened.
He broke the kiss, he rested his forehead against hers. "Oh good god that was amazing. But I'm sorry I didn't mean to attack you like that." He whispered
"Don't be sorry, I enjoyed it. It was amazing." She whispered
A few minutes later James came back out with their food, and they headed back to the Barnes household.
