Chapter Seventeen - Real Talk

~Vanessa's P.O.V~
I felt really bad for not accepting Channing's request. I don't know why I feel bad. I just do. The only way for relaxing was to call him and talk for a very long time and sort things out. So I dialed his number and waited nervously.

"Hello? Vanessa?"

"Let's meet at the coffee shop at 5pm. Bye. "
I didn't wanted him to think that I forgave him and it was that easy to forget everything so i kinda had to act rude.
I got ready to head out but I kinda forgot that Chris was at home too.

"Where are you going ?" Said Chris looking up from his paper.

"Uuhh. To. Go. And. Get. Coffee?" I said with wide eyes hoping that he wouldn't notice my dumb punctuation mistakes.

"That's not a right sentence at all. Hmm. This feels fishy." He said raising one eyebrow.

"Yeah so I kinda have to go bye" I said then rushed out from the door. Geez. That was really awkward. I'll tell him later. Or not. Whatever.
For the first time in history I was late. For about 5 minutes. Channing was obviously late so I was still early.

I ordered myself a coffee. Sat down and waited. Unsurprisingly he appeared after 10 minutes.
"Better late than never" he said smiling.

"Yeah right." I said not looking at him.

"Okay. What did you wanted to talk about?" He said seriously. I left a deep sigh and said

"Your behavior is not nice. You can't go sleep with random people whenever you're mad at someone. That is just not healthy. You are still acting like a high schooler. I don't know how I can trust you anymore. I really enjoy being around you but you also harm me in a lot of ways."

"What if I gave you a promise." He said looking really damn serious. This is an odd moment.

"Continue."

"I promise that I'll never leave you alone or do stuff that annoys you and start taking responsibilities and not being a douche anymore. I promise."

"This is a big step. Are you really willing to do all of these?"

"Well,thats how much i care about you." he said smiling. Gosh darnit. Okay okay. He's too damn cute.

"It's a promise then." I said smiling.

"YESSSS BFF'S FOR LIFE" he said cheerfully.

"I should be leaving. I have a class at 6. See you later." I said and pat him in the shoulder.

Great now I'm late for class. Today is so wrong in many levels.

~Channing's P.O.V~
Woah. That was relieving. Wait. I think i got a text. Heh. So popular. Very cool.

Doesn't she teaches us business? Weird. Eh. I'm free now. I can call her.

"Yes Ms. Meryl?"

"I have spectacular news for you dear, you are accepted to the one of the most important and big football teams in the UK. And I as your trusty teacher transferred you to the UK football team. Isn't that great news!" She said pretty excited. I, however wasn't that amazed.

"But I have a life here"

"Dear, this is the one shot you'll get in your life. This is 'the' opportunity for being the big star. Think wisely. Have a nice day. Transferring documents will be finished in the following month." She said then hung up.

I really can't leave right now. But what if this is really "that" chance?
