~Vanessa's P.O.V~
"What a rainy day." I thought while walking down the campus. I wasn't complaining I loved rainy cold days. Actually I've been feeling a lot better these couple of weeks, my grades were good, me and Channing sorted things out and we still hang out a lot. Chris is very nice to me and we have developed a very close friendship. What else can go wrong? And then my phone rang. It was hard to see who was calling because of the rain but I picked up anyways.
"Hello?"
"Heyy hi what's up?" This was Channing's voice.
"Not much, I'm going to the coffee shop right now. What about you?"
"The coffee shop? Wow how odd. Me too!! Let's meet up. Uhm. Bye." He said and hung up. Oh God this does not feel right. At all. Think positive Vanessa. What could possibly happen? It's not like he's moving to another country right?
~Channing's P.O.V~
And I was early to the coffee shop. This is weird. She'll think something is wrong. Well it is wrong. Kinda. I saw her coming. Okay. Stay calm. You got this.
"Heyy what's wrong? You sounded weird on the phone. Is everything okay?" She said worried. I can't do this. I left a deep sigh.
"Well there's something I would like to say." I said very nervously. Well I think it's obvious something is wrong.
"Continue." She said
"A few weeks ago I got news that I myself have been transferred to the UK football team. For a few years. They asked me if I wanted it. And-"
"And you didn't said no." She said while not looking at me.
I reached for her hand. And said
"It's just a couple of years. What if this is the opportunity? What if I become a star?"
"I'm not going to stand in your way. I wish you've told me this earlier." She said looking me in the eye. Great. Now I feel like shit.
"So...?"
"If you really want it, then do it. I want you to be happy." She said smiling. This is the girl I've fallen in love with. This is the girl I love. And i can't see her for over a year. Ugh.
//2 Days Later//
Vanessa is driving me to the airport and so far the silence has turned out to be the most awkward thing ever.
"We are almost there." she said
"Are you mad?"
"Why should I be?" She said
"I don't know" I said. She laughed. I missed her laugh. This is going to be so hard.
We've came to the airport. I took my luggage out of the car. Hoping that Vanessa wouldn't leave the car but she did.
"Please call me when you arrive." She said with a cracked voice. She's going to cry. Please don't cry.
"I'll be fine. Don't worry about me." I said smiling. She smiled too.
"Well. Goodbye then." She said. I'm impressed. She didn't cried yet. And so did I. It's so hard to leave somebody you love. But she doesn't know. Maybe she doesn't love me. Whatever I'm late.
"Goodbye." I said and gave her a big hug. She teared up a bit. I tried so hard not to. I looked her in the eye. She tried to smile. Then I walked away.
"Channing!" She said. I turned around. She came and said.
"I love you." She said. I can't take it anymore. I grabbed her tightly and pressed my lips agains to hers. She responded. It felt so right and good.
"I have to go." I said. She didn't said anything. She smiled and nodded. I walked through the gate.
