Chapter Four - Gone

"Told me what?" I said with a curious voice

"Look, Vanessa I truly don't know what was the subject but he mentioned that he'd tell you something important. Okay?

"Jonah you are his best bro and now you're saying that you don't know what he was going to tell me?" I was getting uncomfortable i don't know why uh just tell the goddamn subject Jonah. Gee

"Nope that's it night night ." He said and rushed to his bedroom

Okay so it was like 2 a.m. and I was by myself sitting on the couch and over thinking for an hour. What could it be? I had a few theories tho. First one is logical, probably he was going to mention that 'rough times' he been through when we weren't seeing each other and this makes sense and I have a second theory which this is more like a "Vanessa's imagination" produce, in my mind he was going to say that he loved me secretly and kept this inside to not to ruin our friendship and he was insane about me and okay stop it Vanessa go to sleep you are so fucking stupid. I should make a talk show seriously I'm hilarious.

At morning Channing woke me up.

"Okay get up you lazy pants" He said while shaking me.

"That's not how you wake someone up ugh learn some behavior." I said with a sarcastic voice.

"Do you want some breakfast or?"

"Actually I am late for school, and I probably missed my first 2 classes."

"Are you leaving already" He said with a bit surprised voice.

"Yup, obviously I need to get my shit straight I only have 3 more exams left and I do not want to fail them." Then I hear him sigh.

"Hey what's wrong?" I said while texting Penny to send me the class schedule.

"I'm actually failing from a few classes" He said embarrassed

"Why didn't you told me this before?"

"I don't know"

"Channing I am going to help you now." I said seriously.

"What do you mean? You're already late for school"

"Whatever I don't mind it. Today I don't feel like going to school anyway." But that was a big fat lie, I was dying to go but I wasn't failing any classes and actually I might have an excellent report and the last 3 exams do not change anything even if I get an 60 I will still have an excellent report so I decided to stay and help my friend because that's what 'buddies' do.

"You don't have to do this."

"Yes but I want to. Channing I don't want to see you unhappy. I never want you to feel like that I don't want you to be ashamed I just can't stand it okay? Now shut up and bring me your classwork and assignments." Was that to cheesy? Did he realized that I had a crush on him because I totally sound like that ugh fuck you Vanessa think twice before you talk.

Channing didn't say a word, he was surprised he obeyed and bring his assignments.

We spend rest of the day doing and completing his tasks, assignments and stuff. Channing is smart but he just prefers not to be. He's more like a social person who doesn't have time to study and makes his living on sports or etc. So even if he failed it didn't matter but anyway he was feeling awful about this situation. It was 11pm when we were all done with his shit and to be honest I was fucked up too, it was too hard but I actually had fun. He said that he had an exam tomorrow so we studied to that as well -actually I made him study because he didn't know shit so I was the teacher incase you get it wrong asdfghj- and it was exactly 12pm when we were finished.

"You are an amazing person Vanessa Katherine Spence." I feel a little awkward when he says my full name because he has an extremely hot voice when he is tired and wow sgfadvgasdvah stop Vanessa.

"And you are a very hot mess person Channing Matthew Tatum." I said with a wink and he laughed.

"Why don't I call you Katherine ?"

"Just don't." I said with a disgusted face.

"Okay...................Katherine" He said then laughed and I laughed too.

"Im going to take a bath" He said ohhh can I watch you pls pls pls asdfghjk okay me being a 11-year-old fangirl again. Get your shit together Vanessa. Geez

"I should probably leave" I said but I didn't wanted to.

"Then I should walk with you"

"What happened to your car?" I said with a sarcastic voice and of course he laughed.

"Jonah took it" then he walked through the door and I followed him.

We were telling each other stupid jokes, talking about movies or arguing would be more true, we were pushing each other and I totally missed this I mean we were arguing about harry potter like 10-year-old child and pushing each other in front of the cars and being sarcastic to each other and this was the emptiness I had.

"Are those cops?" He said when we were near to the house

"I don't know they are probably here because of the neighbors anyway just ignore."

Channing went to check and 10 seconds later he ran to me and said;

"You know what we shouldn't go there. There are a lot of cops here and you cant take a good rest here come on." While he was trying to push me through the opposite direction.

"Channing enough I really need to go, I missed Penny"

Channing let me go but looked me in the eye and said "please don't" with a very deep whisper voice. I didn't understand and it made me feel uncomfortable and I ran in to home. When I was close enough to see the entrance a cop stopped me.

"You are not allowed to pass" He said with a serious voice.

"Umm yes I am byeee" I said and pushed him back and rushed inside and as I ran I freeze.

I wished I've never been in there.

I wished so badly not to see that.

I regret it so fucking much.

I was too scared and shocked to cry.

I was there standing with a gap in my mouth

looking at Penny's dead body.
